7, always at least slightly above fodder price and easy to get. I’ve tried going to 8 a couple of times but just didn’t seem worth it for the payout.

10 is not efficient, but round number makes me happy.
Plus, I breed my own fodder, so it isn't about churning through purchased fodder efficiently, it's about my patience to extract profit from an existing asset.

Usually 6; sometimes 7. I don't generally go for 8 unless there's a micro-holiday with an EXP boost going, since I'm lazy. [emoji=guardian sleepy size=1]

I usually level my fodder to level 6. Sometimes to level 7. But if I'm tired and don't feel like training my fodder then to level 5.
