My favourite thing is to find rare colour combinations. There are not other dragons on site with these colours. I didn't check exalted though. I feel like weeping.

two of my personal faves are melie and arthur. it took me months just to breed some dragons in the right ranges let alone narrow down until i had two unrelated dragons to breed for twins like the insane person i am. so now there have been 16 dragons on the site with these colours (ginger/bronze/sapphire) and of them, 15 were part of my project: two, their parents; three, their unnecessary nestmates; and the other ten are extended family who were useless to me bc of the five generation thing (and i kept hatching boys when all i needed was a girl to breed ONE of those boys with lol). got there in the end tho!

a lot of my fandragon projects are like that tbh. i'll find some colours and they're super random and hard to get. sometimes i get lucky, but usually it's breeding heck for me.

then there's feldspar. he might be a failed scatter project? i wanted him to be earthy colours but he wanted to be a fairy. when he hit on pear (my weaknessssss) i couldn't say no and it turns out? the only dragon in these colours. ig i can understand, they're not like... classic pretty. but i think he's baby.

[outfit=1173480] So I scry up this PERFECT MATCH for one of the skins I own right! Wonderful, I can't wait to get a dragon like this and have them in my lair! Well turns out NOT ONE dark red/ dark red/dark green dragon exists in the auction house. OF ANY BREED. the entire lower half of the red and green ranges is just NOWHERE to be seen [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/60662837][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/606629/60662837.png[/img][/url][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/63475275][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/634753/63475275.png[/img][/url][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/68897423][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/688975/68897423.png[/img][/url] I've been sorting through listings since mid 2020 and these are all the closest matches I could get, the first of which has been in my lair for so long that I just adopted him as a perma and no longer plan to breed him, so I'll have to find another dragon to work with.

I like to check out how uncommon my XYZ gen ones are color wise, just for fun! I was pretty surprised to learn that my scarecrow dragon, Maize, is the only one of her colors on the site currently! There was only one other to ever exist and they were exalted. Same goes for my OC based girl, Quincy! Only one with her colors on site, only other one to ever exist was exalted. Not too surprised with her as I get the swamp tert would turn most people away, but it was perfect for her as she's based on the Fallout games! I think their colors work super well together, it's a shame there's not more out there! No other dragon has ever had her combo, she's the only one! Which is crazy, cause stained makes her GORGEOUS! Honestly if I had a mate for her I'd be tempted to breed and get more of this combo out there. I personally find a lot of fun in making unusual color combos work.
