I often take on breeding and gene projects much to my own wallet's detriment. I find breeding projects to often be frustrating because of how long it takes to get that perfect dragon. My longest breeding project is approaching two years and I'm not sure if I even want the dragon that comes from it anymore.

If the colors of the dragon make me go "BUY" then mostly the eye-color doesn't matter. Matching eyes are just the cherry on top. If the tint is even more matchy than the common color then that's even better but I don't look for it specifically.

I stopped breeding modern breeds and focus on just breeding some Ancients at the moment. There's XXY, XXX and XYZ pairs in the mix. I breed to sell, but I sometimes hope for special eyes, especially Multi Gaze and Primal, just for a bit more money to gain (hopefully) so I can complete projects for finance whatever I currently want to get. Maybe I'll keep one of them. Who knows.

I'm sadly too lazy for most projects. I have mad respect for people who do, especially eye- or color-projects. And I am way too poor for scatter-adventures.

I collect some G1s and I have a lot of sentimental dragons (that are also old dragons) that I own. Some birthday-date dragons and I think that's mostly it (if there's a special date in the mix, it's coincidental).
Actual themed collections I have the cream-color-range female Primals and a whole bunch of soon-to-bee gaoler hatchling G1s.

I love buying pretty dragons that I can get the most out of with Accents and Apparel. But I also enjoy buying G1s with nice colors and putting my twist on them with genes. I think it's pretty even for me.

I don't think so. Saying that would invalidate someone elses playstyle. You can breed ugly or pretty fodder, in a DOM battle both will get exalted, no matter what they look like and be appreciated by the deities.
Plus "ugly" is always super subjective. Someone else might love the color/gene combo.

I'm sadly too lazy for most projects. I have mad respect for people who do, especially eye- or color-projects. And I am way too poor for scatter-adventures.
I have my G1/primal gene-projects, that's mostly it.

I collect some G1s and I have a lot of sentimental dragons (that are also old dragons) that I own. Some birthday-date dragons and I think that's mostly it (if there's a special date in the mix, it's coincidental).
Actual themed collections I have the cream-color-range female Primals and a whole bunch of soon-to-bee gaoler hatchling G1s.

I love buying pretty dragons that I can get the most out of with Accents and Apparel. But I also enjoy buying G1s with nice colors and putting my twist on them with genes. I think it's pretty even for me.

Yes I exalt fodder, I sometimes breed fodder (XYZ) and sell them but mostly I buy and train+exalt.

Mostly my taste prevents me from buying a dragon. Second most reason would be the price, after that lair space and/or if it fits into my lore.

I don't think so. Saying that would invalidate someone elses playstyle. You can breed ugly or pretty fodder, in a DOM battle both will get exalted, no matter what they look like and be appreciated by the deities.
Plus "ugly" is always super subjective. Someone else might love the color/gene combo.

matching eye colors are nice but not necessary. most breeds got SUPER small eyes as adults so it doesnt even matter. i only really care if its a permabab or breeds with large eyes like coatls and spirals. as for eye types, it depends. i don't care for goat/faceted unless its on a permabab/coatl/spiral. i personally dont like primals and won't pay huge sums for them but i love a good multigaze

All of these. I've gotten not one, but two G1 primal collections for the modern and ancients. With that done, I've moved onto collecting one of each element of 4 digit dragons.
