IDK if anyone mentioned this, but a Lightning horror-themed lair would be pretty freaky. No flesh-and-blood dragons, only spooky androids instead. Haunted machines. Frankenstein-like creatures. The Golem Workshop is already kinda horror-ish, why not lean into that?

I don't do horror, but I'm surprised no one has picked up on the "Wind's balloons are made of leather" horror idea. Especially combined with the new genes.

I'm an Ice account with an all-over lore but the major Horror elements of my lore are (non-Emperor) Light themed because I wanted a creative challenge five years ago when I did a lovecraftian pinkerlocke, and it turned out way more successful in terms of enduring lore than I expected.
Roshan here is the in-game-mechanics manifestation of that horror.

But there's odds and ends scattered all over my first page.

my first lair tab is horror themed, I am Lightning Flight
my headcanon was that there was a portal through which some sort of entities came which possessed some dragons- so when years later, the portal coli stage was released, that played right into my hands!

I really want to make a section of my lair that's like, "What lurks in the deep should not be shown to the light," but I have too many projects and not enough lair slots. I'm Water by the way!

I'm in Ice Flight and my lair is a high security prison somewhere between Suicide Squad and the SCP Foundation, though there is a tab of plague-y Sarkic cultist dragons. Right now we have:
Fimbulwinter, the fanatical Icewarden worshipper who wants to live up to his name:

Druella, a sort of zombie crudely animated by spirits of winter:

I may be in Plague, but I do have sub clans that have a semi horror theme. Yeah, they stem from Plague, but they have their own themes. The roots in Plague burrowed down and prepared to face a monster lurking in the Boneyard (as far as they're aware). The ones who were weaker and traumatized by the sight hid in the Shadows, and may or may not be slowly going insane over what they experienced. The ones who were stronger fled to Ice, hoping the ice and snow would hold whatever horrors lurk in Sornieth at bay. Some leaders took to the high seas, hoping their monster cannot swim as they keep on the move. Some even travel the lands of Sornieth as Banescales, hoping to sing away the terrors they saw. But oddly enough, some left to Arcane to study what they found (and arguably might be monsters of their own).
I may be a plague player, but I can come up with some horror themes for the other flights as well. Honestly just stay because of the aesthetic (and honestly red eyes with pale dergs make lovely albino dergs).

Ooh, my sister is Lightning! If she likes the idea, I'll definitely ping you to her profile!

I've seen quite a few Shadow horror lairs, especially horror carnivals and haunted houses. Mine is based on Louisiana swamp b-movie and 80's horror/ dark fantasy themes (to varying degrees of success).

I've seen ideas for Wind horror focusing on restlessness. The constant instinct to travel and meet new people is usually a positive thing, but can be warped to unpleasant ends. Perhaps they're scouting for victims, become so fixated that they go mad, or refuse to die because they have so much to do yet.
I made a wind zombie around the last theme. He was so eager to complete his life's work that his body defied death.
