I know that reference! I've at least seen the name of the mech before, and that plus the nocturne helped me narrow it down to two seasons before I looked at the gif. Good choice.

The Hobbit... play? And you have fandragons based on the cat and the moon... from Frodo's song in FotR? Was that in the play? That's so deliciously obscure I don't even know what to say.
(Back when I was first getting into fandragons, I was both happy and sad when I saw how big the Silm fandom is on here - happy to find others interested in it, sad because I wouldn't get to be obscure in that particular way. I don't even know the Silmarillion that well compared to these people. =P)
In my fandragons tab I have:
* four dragons based on an old meme (not obscure, but it still takes people a minute to get it)
* four dragons from Teen Girl Squad (the protagonists, though the Gregs might be fun to add later)
* three dragons based on a single joke from a Bad Lip Reading video
* a dragon to go with those last three that's based on a well-known movie but I don't know why anyone would have a dragon of this character
And that's just the first page. The second page is Power Rangers and the third one has a dragon based on a Picnicface sketch.

Kagerou is a fandragon for the Thermal Vixen monster from Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk. Thermal Vixens only show up in a specific area of the main story’s final dungeon, and they’re also mostly invisible until you attack them. :’)
Peco is a fandragon for Pecorino, also from Labyrinth of Refrain. She’s the boss of the second dungeon, and you never see her again after that. But then I made up a backstory and an AU surrounding her and got attached lol...

Now, as far as I'm concerned, only eight of mine are obscure - because I have never met anyone irl or on the internet outside of my family who have read the books - but some of my other ones are also less well known than I expected?
I've used widgets from dressing room/workshop for all of them because it's got the added bonus of including their names, but I've also linked whereabouts they can be found in my lair or den for anyone who wants a closer look.
These are the ones I actually consider obscure.

I grew up with the show and my friends and I used to play at being these characters in the playground at school. Even if they're not a fan of it, there are few people in the UK I've met who have never heard of them. On the internet? Crickets. Apparently this show was very UK-only, although the revamp (which these dragons are more specifically based on) is also known in Australia, I believe.
Still missing three of the dragons, and most of the ones I do have are unfinished, but hey, that's what scries are for. You can find the ones I do have, in their current largely unfinished forms, here.
