Are these really broken? Aren't "lesser lair of the" just players who never chose a flight? When a new player signs up, you can view their account before they choose their flight. Many players signed up during reg windows (back when those were still a thing) to make sure they'd get in, then went "I'll set up the account tomorrow." And never did. I'm sure some newer players still choose a name and then never finish creating their account nowadays as well.

During reg windows my favorite activity was newbie watching. I'd find new players online and identified them by as new by the "lesser lair of the." Then I'd refresh until they chose their flight and progens. Then I'd send them gifts.

On the names in red- These are the same situation. Way back, that's what would happen to an account that didn't get finished setting up. I found some of these when newbie watching as well, and messaged the owners curious. They explained that they'd joined a long time ago, but hadn't finished setting up the account, and had then sorta forgotten about it. It's the same as the "lesser lair of the" accounts, just older, from before the site was set up to properly deal with that.

Unless the point was to make a list of players who just never bothered to finish setting up an account and have no dragons, in which case... why?

I know that. I was tired when I wrote that, and at the time I couldn't think of a better description.

I labeled them because I see 'Lesser Lair' and 'No Lair' as similar, but not exactly the same. Not much other reasoning behind that one, just opinions.

As for why I did this, they've always interested me, and I wanted to find out just how many I could find. The fact that people seemed to not know about them fueled the idea too, but it was mostly because I was dumb and wanted to finish what I started two months ago.

Now, I'm gonna go change the 'broken' to 'incomplete', because now that you've pointed it out, it's gonna bug me forever if I don't fix it.

Do unfinished accounts have anything to do with Akilta though? Maybe I missed something, but I'm not sure how the two are connected. I was on the pinglist for Akilta-related updates.

I remember reading somewhere in the thread that Akitla might've been linked to one, and I thought that some people in this thread might find it interesting that there are so many unfinished accounts.

(Now that I think about it, a pinglist for things outside of Akitla updates might be handy..)

Not sure they could be linked. My memory is foggy, but you have to choose flight before you choose dragon right? Because otherwise there'd be no way to display your new custom dragon's eyes. And I think once you finish your progens your account is ready to go, no lair errors.

Yeah I think the idea that they were linked was disproven, as Akitla would appear to be a fire dragon and there is no reason for fire to be what it would default to.

But she was exalted! But in an arcane clan ... I checked and this is her ID. Really weird.
