What was one of the biggest mistakes you did as a newbie and wish you could go back in time and tell yourself to redo?

For me it would choosing my starter dragons fitting colours instead of just randomly picking them. Also to never breed them. They made ugly babies and lowered their G1 status :'D.

Probably expand my lair more aggressively. I've been on FR for over 5 years now, but I didn't finish completely expanding my lair until February or March 2018. Until mid to late 2017, I only really expanded when I needed space and that was so foolish because fodder is super lucrative. By the time I realize how versatile and easy fodder was as a steady source of income, I already had a lot of dragons taking up the majority of my lair space, which put a limit on how much space I could use for fodder.

I remember reading a post from a player who was still relatively new at the time (like less than a year) and how they were able to fully expand their lair in 3 months after joining. And they were able to do that because they used almost all of their lair space for fodder flipping. I wish I had been that smart as a newbie lmao.

Getting a bunch of bears because I came in right after the sprites and thought the bears would be similarly desirable. Wish I'd just gone for the apparel more instead.

...also, not buying Sprites back when I first joined and they were cheaper.

My very first egg was a XYY... Sold it for like 7 gems (maybe more but it was reeaally low)

The fact he was heavily bred makes me feel a bit better but still, he had pretty good colors :(

I still regret not investing more in acolytes or the special event apparent from 3 years ago. I was new, I just figured once the event is over the hype will die and no one will care for those anymore...I didn't take in consideration other newbies that never got those :'D.
While apparel is still worth decent after a while, familiars are a hit or a miss. I invested in skins instead...And well, lets just say I got 3 years old skins that are barely worth 30g. RIP the economy, I got used to it only once it was too late.
