2 tabs, watching videos. Or creepypastas.
Once you get muscle memory down you can just forget about it and keep going. I never check my haul until I'm done grinding (unless I actually notice I got something cool) so I end up with surprises at the end. Once I only spent an hour and a half grinding and looked to see I got 3 eggs.
Really the trick to not getting bored is by not really playing or focusing on the coli at all.

Music and my work is VERY boring. Also, I've gotten two boss drops in two days. Odds like that, even when they're extremely rare, keep me grinding.

When grinding for hours, there’s a number of ways to keep yourself entertained.
While it’s better to not pay attention and watch something while grinding, it’s sometimes a bit hard to do so.
I usually listen to music, or to an analysis video on a book or tv show I like. Sometimes I’ll set up tv to play in the room without looking so I have something to fill the silence. You could also try to listen to an audiobook or talk to a friend while grinding.
I’ve tried to multitask- doing typings like drawing, writing, or studying but it’s honestly quite hard to finish anything when your focus is split like that.

I split screen on my tablet and watch you tube or something while I'm doing it. Sometimes fun videos because I feel like it, other times documentaries so that I can learn something new, sometimes just... whatever I happen to see first. I'll also be constantly spaced out in my head thinking about some completely unrelated things.

I can't do it either. I find it physically uncomfortable for my hands/wrists, so the muscle memory never sets in, and I have to actually focus on the coli and can't pay full attention to whatever I'm watching/listening to.
The longest I've ever gone for is an hour, but I only do it during fests, because at least I'm getting fest currency.

I split screen two windows and usually watch youtube videos or watch a show or something. Lately I've been watching critical role on youtube.

To be honest...
I'm a grinder by nature.
I love leveling up dragons so something I do is grind some fodder up some level
Now I am not saying the whole hours straight. Oh no, don't do that.
Just level up the fodder by a level, take a break and try to get some treasure from fairgrounds (Rip me because I do Tidal Trouble for hours since I can't do Glimmer and Gloom because I do not understand it even though some players say they earn the lucky streak in less than 30 minutes).
I try to make the first 10k before going back to grind a fodder until I max Lucky Streak out.
There is also my goal of having a lair full of level 25 dragons so I have motivation fuel.
Also: I grind a dragon from 1-25 through all the venues.
Not a Nuzlocke, just a team of 3 to Venture and have adventures in Coli. Whatever I get I don't care but gosh that level up feels so much sweeter especially the boss fights when you win.
I do play Spotify in the background though listening and shuffling other's playlists.
Then there is the whole den tasks which require farming some venues in Coli.
I try to do those pertaining to Coli but now am currently stuck with 6 genes and 1 Wind egg to turn in for a slot.
I rotate between grinding that fodder/perma dragon and then farming a bit. My general rule is first familiar drop and stop when farming.
There's also transmuting with Baldwin and checking up on Swipp's items at the time so I'm plenty busy and not just focused on one thing at a time.

I usually have like 5 tabs open:
1 with coli where I'm grinding for the stuff I hoard.
1 with fr forums/my hatchery/AH/whatever I'm doing on fr.
1 with chickensmoothie.
1 with some Youtube just running in the background with a bunch of watch later videos lol
and 1 Google docs with my clan lore c:
Then I grind 30-45 minutes, browse a couple of the other tabs for 10-15 minutes and go back to grinding.

I do the split-screen method and watch youtube when I grind. I also found it especially helpful to do part of the game with the keyboard and part with the mouse, because my fingers get confused easily when trying to do it one handed. Which sounds weird. Basically I choose to attack and the attack option with the keyboard, and then choose which monster to attack with my mouse XD
Dunno if I find that easier cause I'm left-handed but it works.
