After the explosion in the Oculus of the Eleven, an investigative party journeyed to Lightning to discover why their primary ley line was sending out massive surges of power- but months have passed and no word has been heard from them. In the meantime, the Water flight has noticed strange runoffs into the seas.
Inhabitants of Wind have observed the wind currents reversing and following erratic paths while Earth and Fire dragons have reported orders from various Lightning laboratories for unusual materials and strangely shaped metal parts. And now the legendary Gaolers have emerged from the Fortress of Ends, hunting for Shade-tainted monsters. Could THAT be what is taking shape in the heart of the Shifting Expanse? A new horror? Or are the scientists working in the Stormcatch Sanctum designing something to inspire hope instead?
