Nice! I'll be compiling my gods of Egypt Word file. No on here but heavily related to this because I use it as a reference.
When I'm looking at a dragon's bio, I want info on the dragon, not a 10k word essay on the history of everything and then maybe the dragon shows up in the last sentence. I'd much rather see: 'the 10k war left this dragon an orphan' and have '10k war' link to a separate lore thread that goes into detail about the war in question, which I might then read if the dragon interests me enough.
I like character led stuff. I wanna know what they do, their relationships, funny habits, hobbies, that sort of thing.

oh man now i really want to set up a lore thread-
i had one at one point but it never got used, because i have just so many ideas and i can't ever settle with one.
however when it comes to actually making lore threads, i agree with everything @/baizhu said! the flow and organization of a thread is very important, i think

i really like reading about clan locations! it's just interesting to see the lay of the land, what the clan's life is like, whether they live in a town/big city/treehouses, it kinda helps me imagine the dragons better if that makes any sense.
to answer your other question, i actually like to get the dragon's personality down first. job, likes, dislikes, that sort of thing. it again makes it easier for me to envision the rest of their lore.

lore thread my beloved/despised, agreed. i'm currently in the process of re-coding mine, but i'll agree with things other people have said. lore thread is for big stuff like locations, culture, history, and factions. dragon bios can get into the nitty-gritty little details of everyone's role in the clan, and personally i like to keep them short and sweet. less work for my two braincells.

I do like little blips of info in a dragons bio. Doesn't really matter too much what. Personality. Likes, dislikes. Anecdotes. Origins. Whatever. I generally won't read a novel written in a dragons bio unless the first sentence really captures my interest.

So for dragon bios I put little bits depending on what I "know" about the dragon. In my bios I like to include job in the clan, fav food, familiar, if its a guardian I put what their charge is. Then some dragons have a bit more if they've been chosen when I've done lore writing prompts.
