XYY. I love it when the wings and the belly (underbelly and glimmer are my favorites)
TOPIC | XXY, XYX, or XYY?
I'm an XYY fan personally. It's got good balance!
(Or XYZ - I LOVE dragons with three different but great looking colors)

XYYs work easily with a lot of gene combinations to balance out the area of the Primary colour. Underbelly/Glimmer is a good Tert for this.

I have a few X/Ivory/Ivory dragons and I think most of them have Underbelly.
XXYs are great for making a Tertiary really pop. Best done with simpler Primary and Secondary genes to draw attention to the Tert, or busier genes to draw attention away.

Iri/Shim is probably your best bet to contrast with the tert the most, because it is both shiny and not very busy, while most Terts are matte and therefore also have a textural difference as well as patterns.
XYX are more difficult because a lot of the time it just looks like the Primary colour is escaping and overpowering the secondary. Can work, though, if you hit the right colours/genes.

Like this gal, with these genes, looks like molten silver or mercury over something red-hot, which is neat. It really depends on what the colours are for this combo.

wheeeeee
Usually I prefer XXY. XYX can also be good. XYY never seems to work well for me. XXX for certain colors/genes only. My current major breeding project is for a breeding pair of XXX radioactives.

I can never resist XYYs for some reason. XXYs and XYXs are just boring to me. I like how the primary color creates a visual break between the secondary and tertiary in XYYs.

ceasefire. now.
