Has anyone else ever noticed this before?

I was copying the image code of my nests for my hatchery thread, and noticed that the code reads like this:
http://flightrising.com/images/nests/5/3healthy_0dead.png
so i increased the dead number when pasting the image code to see what would happen, and it looks like at one point the staff must have planned for there to be a way for eggs in a nest to die (which explains why beneath each nest it says 3/3 healthy or however many).
Also, it looks like the water nest got a makeover, as this is what it looks like with only healthy eggs:

Which one do you find most disturbing? I think the shadow eggs are pretty chilling...

I am guessing these were from back when Egg Rot was a thing?

@paleontologies Yup ^^ it was an old feature known as "egg rot" where eggs would rot if you didn't incubate them every day, and they got rid of it a while ago. I remember when it was first around and having a few of my eggs rot :c

A small trove of gears and spare parts.

*sigh* "You're going to make me say it, aren't you? FINE. I'm sorry I killed your wife. But in my defense, she jumped in front of my sword!"
Copper Gear
Trinkets
The beginnings of your very own clockwork golem. Get cracking!
I kiiiinda miss this feature as it would be great for lore, but I also understand why it was removed. The art for it is really interesting.

I'm proud to say none of mine ever rotted. Egg rot was removed from the game on the 20th Sept 2013, it is not missed :D
And yes, the Water nest got a make-over not long after launch too, I can't remember when it happens, but I remember it being posted about in the Water Forums
