The orange Skydancer with oval glasses down her nose and a aviator’s jacket walked into the room a little awkwardly, a big smile on her face. Waving a talon at everyone she found a spot and sat down.
“It’s nice to meet you all, I’m Tangerine but you can all call me Tangy!”

Oh yes it’s nice to meet you all, archer blushed at the lapse in her manners
Unfortunately for me, this isn't this first time I've been in this situation, and I've certainly learned about revealing my hand too early. Yep. Totally.
Ember gave Tweeter a look, her right eye twitching. "Do I know you from somewhere?" Didn't they have a verb named after them or something?
Bee's introduction snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Oh- Nice to mee-" She slowly paused as she fully registered his face, "you..."
Tangerine's entrance snapped her out of it, "O-oh. Nice to meet you!" Ember readjusted her red tie, hoping to forget about the man's face, but she cannot.

"Thank you, Witted. Your words mean much to me." Clearly they did. The strange, monstrous man was blushing red.
A pause, and what could only be described as a sympathetic smile attempted to show on his features. "I can only fear that my appearance doesn't give you all any discomfort. It is-- an old form, I took in another situation." Ah yes, the only time he assisted- wait, was that right?
He ASSISTED in a similar scenario?
It was quite a while ago. Memory fuzzy, too much tea.
[He quietly hoped that it was just the tea.]
It took him a while, but eventually he would echo the statement repeated to him: "May the odds, ah. Ever be in your favor...?" Was that just a new greeting the kids did these days?

Witted giggled more. "Oh no, your appearance doesn't give me any discomfort at all. In fact, it might actually be the opposite." He grinned, and his smile was a little like a shark's.
His memory was a little fuzzy, but somehow, the strange man was familiar. Perhaps he'd seen him in a dream? His dreams were always the clearest part of his mind, even clearer than his most traumatic of memories. He began to drift into a trance-like state.
Hearing the greeting, the Skydancer jolted back to reality. "Oh, thank you. It's what we say to wish another person luck and stuff like that."

I perked back up as more conversation flowed. Tweeter's comment made me chuckle as a vague memory jostle. "Ah, yes, that is good. We wouldn't want anyone to tip their hand, hm?"
"And, if we do keep notes, I wouldn't share them with each other unless absolutely needed - that way if someone's notes don't line up, we can investigate further, and then perhaps catch a culprit. That would be ideal, yes?"
I took a sip of tea, ignoring the fact that it was tainted. There wasn't much else it could do, right? I hoped so. When I finished, I set the cup down and continued speaking. "Now, we may wish to discern the skills of the attendees, and their desires as the case may be for some. I do have a few theories, of course, and I'll attempt to share them the best I can... Now, the Chesire Cat, whoever you are, may indeed be taking this too casually. I believe they will act as a jester of sorts... If that makes sense."
The term meant nothing to me, but perhaps the other players would understand what jester meant? I moved on without much thought. "And while I would like to speak more of the other players right now, that may not be pertinent to the first night. Wouldn't want anyone to get any clues to the proper targets, eh? Now, the Queen is fairly smart. Impulsive... Well, that's for anyone to decide, really. But she will likely target someone who is either a high threat or low-profile that she can get away with. This is problematic, as one cannot be sure which she will choose. The only way to ensure the kill will be totally random is to be helpful and talkative, but not so investigative or querying - er, asking too many questions - that you would stand out."
I paused to gather my thoughts. "I am prattering on, look at me. But we must all be wary. I would likely say the Queen tonight will attempt to target someone who would level-headedly tackle investigations before suspicions can be thrown around and she would be picked out after kills have already been made. So anyone with a history of being intuitive should be on guard..."
Hey, if ya see this LOL I'm not sure if it's against the rules so I'm not communicating in it, except maybe OOC stuff like "Heya, my character is being a bit pseudointellectual, what a jerk, I'm not meaning to make anyone feel bad" or something. Probably will say that in plain text tho.

I think that the Cheshire Cat being a jester makes sense, but I honestly can’t imagine what anyone else may be able to do, does anyone have theories on what everyone else may do? The tweedle twins are very close, I imagine if something happened to one the other may suffer too… as for the rest I can’t imagine the possibilities

"A-a-h!" I choked out. "My friend, please, I tried to cover why talking about abilities would be a bad thing. Suppose someone figured out that, say, the Doormouse can heal people. Anyone who seems to react to that would be reasonably considered the healer, and then, poof, we lost someone powerful. Let us save speculation for the morrow, yes? Except for, of course, the Queen's abilities. No one argues that figuring out what... Hahaha... 'ACE' is up her sleeve would be a bad thing, right? So lets put our minds together on that, rather than the general guest list for now. Agreed?"

"And," I added, "I am by no means suggesting that is the mouse's ability. I have no clue what it could be and I picked a random, useful thing for an example."

Hmm, that makes sense I suppose, though the chaos that could arise from uncertainty on what happens before us could prove troublesome too, when strange things happen it would be nice to know what role is responsible even when we don’t know what person, wondering if a dormouse heals hurts no one if we still cannot discern which of us is they
