Hadrian still just… chilling. Letting people into his shelter and fishing. Dude seriously this is supposed to be a fight to the death, I mean I’m glad you’re alive but you’re gonna have a kill count of zero at this rate

Juniper pulled the axe out of a Bogsneak’s body, eyes blazing. She didn’t know exactly who had killed her friend Wraith, as all she had to go on was a black scale, so she had decided to kill everyone who came near, just in case.

Closing Wilfre’s eyes, she covered them in leaves and threw their body into the river, her bandaged tail finally functioning again. If she wanted to survive, she’d have to fight through the pain, and survive the others.

Ten more others.

She could do this.

Tashir was exhausted, but he knew he could not afford to close his eyes. Doing so could cost him his life. He had found shelter in a cave which seemed safe enough from intruders, but being careful couldn't hurt. Better to lose a few hours of sleep than to sleep forever.

He could see the grief in the dragoness' eyes. The pain, even as she offered the kindness of a shelter to Mordecai.

How long had it been since he felt such revealing tells? The comfort of another, the anger at a loss? It was a matter of time before she steeled such a resolve, to finish the game and come home for the final time.

He was gone by morning, a bundle of medicinal herbs in his wake.
