(First of Alastair is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Stunning one of the prettiest guardians I've seen!)
Alastair is no fool, even though he sometimes pretends to be for a joke. He loves Shakespeare and the wisdom that the fools give the kings. He frames his jokes in ways that those who aren't well versed in the topics wouldn't get and is the best at joking with more intelligent dragons.
He has incredibly sharp wit and comebacks to those who try to make fun of the fool for being unintelligent really have their flaws exposed. He doesn't take any mockery to him or his patrons (he also wouldn't get paid if he did that).
He is absolutely a polarizing character, either other jesters admire him or strongly dislike him (most likely they had attempted to make a fool out of him, and he is a wise jester. The only person to make a fool out of him is himself for a joke).
He also never makes fun of influential people more than once and not where it hurts - he doesn't want to be like King James VI of Scotland's Jester, Archibald Armstrong to be thrown out on the streets after insulting one too many influential people.
He is also an incredibly talented musician and storyteller. He gets the lights turned out low so he glows in the candle light before sharing his stories to give them a more dreamlike effect. He also produces his own sound effects and voices to give each character more depth.
I'd love to get more in depth lore for this lovely dragon! All I can think of is she likes to bake/cook and loves sweet things. She's also a triplet to other dragons in my Lair! (Also if anyone has a better outfit idea I'll take it!) @
