The bad feeling in his gut grew as the hours wore on, hardly helped by the glances he got when he went out for some air. Seraphine spent little time dwelling outside of his den, retreating minutes after leaving. He could hardly speak with anyone even if he tried, and it'd been some days since he saw Crowley. The news Igneae's death was sickening, and as much as he wanted to help, his stomach turned in knots at the thought of visiting after being away for so long. If the ill feeling in his stomach was anything to go off of, he wouldn't be in the clan for much longer. Taking time to search through his possessions, he scribbled a note addressed to Crowley wishing him well and hopes that he'd be safe during his time still in the clan. Briefly leaving his den to pin the note to the door, he had little else to do but wait until nightfall and see what fate would cross him.

Oliander had a strange feeling about this one. The past few times, most suspicion was cast on dragons she was sure were innocent. Seraphine, however, was now her prime suspect, which seemed to align with what the others thought. Perhaps this meant that they were on to the killer. Perhaps it meant that the killer was just getting better at hiding their tracks.

Allium snarled slightly. Two kills in one night? It was getting absurd at this point, soon no one would be left to do her work for her. She couldn't have that. She would have to figure a way to stop this before her hands got dirty doing too much work. She wouldn't be caught dead with a speck of grime on her coat.

Witness clue: The same weapon was used to cut the tree. Third kill: (Hyjinrakka) Ansgar used strength enchantment magic to power up before attacking and dragging Hyjinrakka's body. She quickly rushed over to stop them, neatly turning the labels back to face her. She decided to take one off the rack and bringing it over to the cauldron, writing the trial number on its label. She would keep a bit of the failed potion to observe later. Just as she looked up from the flask, she noticed the cauldron tipping over in her direction. Seconds too late to react, she was caught in the small flood of acidic brew. As the boiling mixture burned through her scales, her eyes quickly caught a glimpse of the figure making their way out her den. The Killer took no time to look over nor admire their work, leaving Midnight to live her last painful moments alone. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The clan would find Midnight in the morning, her body severely burned and the flask shattered on the ground. To say Zenitsu was scared was an understatement. The poor anxiety-ridden Nocturne was absolutely terrified. He looked at Midnight’s body in horror, slowly backing away.
Wh-who would even do such a thing to a clanmate.... Zenitsu thought. He shook his head, trying hard not to scream. His sparrow, Chuntaro, nuzzled his head in a comforting manner. “Thanks Chuntaro...” Zenitsu murmured. He would wait to see what his clanmates thought, but as of right now he suspects Hayate.

Jovahn looked down at the scorched body with no visible emotion crossing his face. A dragon had been killed. So sad.

It wasn’t that he didn’t care for Midnight... well, maybe it was. But regardless, he rarely cared for anyone, clanmates or otherwise. If you wanted someone who was concerned over your wellbeing, you should have visited Etheral. It was too bad that the witch doctor was nowhere to be found. Perhaps Emile would work in her stead; therapy was his job, after all. Not that he needed therapy, but all of these thoughts managed to swirl around in his head when he realized that the rest of his clan probably had less experience with murders than he did. Except maybe Silentstep, but that was a discussion for another time. (Or maybe not, considering there was a killer on the loose...)

While he didn’t mind attention, he was rarely the type to start a conversation on theories all by himself. Leaving Niona to do her job, he simply sat back and kept his concerns silent. Currently, his suspicions fell on Maratmaka, but he wouldn’t say so unless prompted.
