Still confused? No matter--I find myself like that often, too. The explanation is deceptively simple. This here's the gateway to a little Arena where, [b]on the first Saturday of each month[/b], we hold a little competition of sorts. The participants? None other than the oft disregarded dragons who are the backbone of Sornieth: Exalt Fodder! These overlooked drakes will go head to head against one another each week for a chance at riches they would never otherwise know. This sort of game has a general name of which you might be aware: it is a [i]simulated Hunger Games setup[/i].
Of course, we attempt to be, at the very least, somewhat out of the ordinary for our competition genre. Though we make good use of the traditional Sponsor system, we have also introduced [b]Theme Weeks[/b], [b]Meme Dragons[/b], and [b]Bounties[/b] to help make the Fodder Games experience that much more unique. Be you a regular participant, a newcomer, or simply one here to browse the archives, we wish to create a game which is kept fresh and exciting as the weeks pass by.

It is suggested that, pending such a favorable outcome, you welcome them into the halls of your clan as a hero; of course, you are still free to exalt them, if you wish. On the alternate outcome wherein your tribute loses the Games, it is recommended that you name them "Tribute" before training them and exalting them as per how you usually would.
Once a dragon has succeeded in winning the Games, they may not be entered again into an average weekly game. However, if you so wish, they may return for a special round called the "Quarter Quell". In the Quarter Quell, they will compete with twenty-three other victors for the title of [b]Quarter Quell Champion[/b]--and prizes beyond their wildest dreams. These charitable dragons provide an additional incentive for those brave few who venture out into the Games' arena. Should a dragon from the District they sponsor win, they will offer that lucky victor any sort of lavish reward that they happen to have on hand. This is added on to the default 75kt provided for a win.
So long as there is no current Sponsor for a District, even the lowliest of drakes can seek the position so long as they be willing to accept the responsibility of reimbursing their tributes. Simply [b]send a letter[/b] to me with the name and image of the dragon you wish to bear the title of 'Sponsor' and they shall be instated into our ranks at once. Should one of their tributes return home as victor, they are to gift that cunning dragon with something (or more than one thing, if they wish) that is worth [b]at least 10kt[/b]. The exact nature, style, and value of the gift is otherwise left up to interpretation!
Our Sponsors have one additional unique ability which is worth of note--the capability to set [i]Bounties[/i]. During any given game, a Sponsor may announce a bounty on any one dragon, group of dragons, or gathering of tributes which meet a certain qualification. For example, I as a Sponsor could place a reward of 20kt on the head of a certain tribute who had annoyed me. When the offender is killed, the killer will be gifted the 20kt--regardless of District. Bounties do not necessarily have to be on the [i]life[/i] of a tribute, but that is the usual order of business.

We call this tournament the [b]Quarter Quell[/b].
During this sacred twenty-fifth week, all prior victors (should they be willing and able) will return to compete against one another for the title of Quarter Quell Champion. The reward for doubly dominating the competition is immense--[u]and to be revealed only when the Quarter Quell comes to pass[/u]. As a hint, it will involve [i]copious quantities of money, written honorific works, and perhaps a portrait or two.[/i]
[center][font=papyrus][size=6]At present, [u]9/24[/u] Quarter Quell slots are filled.[/center]
