It took some time to gather all our belongings but we had all the time we needed, as there is no way in telling the exact time of day anyways. After, we spent hours wandering through the branching passageways, coated in a number of different species of plant and fungus. It was almost uncanny how much life was growing down here in these incredibly dark and phenomenally cold places. For [b]Aztec[/b], it was quite some paradise. He soon was all over these growing lifeforms, examining and studying them in close detail. Still, at some point he grew suspicious of it, telling us there was something not quite right about it. [columns][item=Dryad's Saddle] [nextcol][center][size=4][i]'These plants... they seem to be feeding off of this strange and unidentifiable powder. Look, it's all over the walls, and even in the air. And do you see how twisted and misshapen they've grown? This can't possibly be good for our lungs.'[/i][/center][/columns] What can I say... we did feel somehow nervous about it, but we are all strong and brave dragons! There was no way we'd turn from our way just because of some plants! And so we continued on... BAD mistake, as we got to know a little after... Suddenly, we all grew quite tired--starting to doze off while walking, yawning and rubbing our eyes. How could I forget those colors!! They got brighter, more distinct with every step taken and then... the world started spinninggggggg. One can imagine that such symptoms weren't a good sign. Luckily for us all, Aztec pulled a [b]trio of masks[/b] out of his[b] first aid kit[/b] and forced us to put them on. As we regained our wits, we wondered if maybe, just maybe, this was a bad idea. BUT, even though this place was clearly dangerous and these plants were clearly out to get us, we had already spent far too much time traveling through these passages to turn back now. Nope! We had to keep going: Stay strong, carry on! [columns][item=Nickel Ore] [nextcol][center][size=4]By some miracle, we eventually got to a large, open cavern. None of those plants in sight anywhere. The air here is clear to breathe again, and this place contains a number of interesting samples for us to collect. Aztec wouldn't stop running around having a look at every single one of those fascinating rocks and gemstones, along with the flora surrounding us.[/center] [nextcol][item=Smoky Quartz][/columns] We then set up our camp for the night and ate our meal. I'm currently logging our activities, the others already went to slept. It was a long day... hopefully, we are going to find ourselfs a sweet adventure tomorrow! I suppose I'm a bit glad I was able to save their skins this time around. That was quite a strange poison we encountered. If it wasn't for the fact that it's poisonous, I'd collect a sample to examine. I forgot to bring enchanted vials, though.
