The Twelve Districts:

Frigid Floes:

1. Polar Plains - This district is well known for being flat and long with very little to disturb the landscape. Plant life actually grows here through most of the year and is traded with the other districts for other food and useful items.

2. Chilled Coast -This district is situated among the broken ice floes of the Southern Icefield's coastline. The dragons there are fishers, mostly, and trade for what they need with the other districts. They exist in small villages dotted along the coastline.

3. Volcanic Vent - A break in an otherwise unforgiving landscape, the vent is home to dragons that like a -ahem- warmer climate. Raw materials and minerals are plentiful as well as abundant plant life. This makes the vent a perfect home for more herbalists and chemists. These dragons are familiar with many chemical compounds and trade their valuable medicine and fuel to other areas for anything they lack by nature.

Snowsquall Tundra:

4. Hoarfrost Hills - The hills begin the ascent to the mountains that make up the last two areas of the Icefields. These hills are home to several small villages. They are comprised mainly of hunters. Meat is plentiful, but other food is obtained through trading.

5. Overcast Oasis - This hidden oasis is almost always overcast which traps the warm air from the hotsprings. It is populated by nomadic tribes known for survival and camouflage. These dragons are also very clever. They scavenge for what they need and what they don't need they trade. They enjoy a pocket of relatively warm weather and the benefit of underground hot springs.

6. Frosting Fjords - This district is best known for being iced over most of the year, allowing dragons to pass freely from one side to the other. There are only one or two large cities populated by many clans consisting of students and tinkers. They make things, mostly mechanical and scholarly things.

Cloudscrape Crags

7. Bitter Butte - Overlooking the sea, the butte is home to several large complexes within the network of inhabitable caves. Large terraces overlook the water on the rock face where dragons sun in warmer months. These dragons mostly live a life of leisure and are among some of the richest clans in the entire Icefields. Their dragons can do virtually anything they wish with the amount of space, and wealth, they control.

8. Shivering Snowline - The snow here never melts and is home to only the most hearty clans. These clans make the most of what they have, whether it is by drying jerky to make meat last or preserving a hide to make a blanket. They trade for new items whenever the snowstorms allow for visitors to make it to their home.

9. Volatile Valley - This area is harsh and unforgiving, a dip in the surrounding mountains. Blizzards rage for most of the months of the year and cannot escape the line of mountains around the valley so the storms cannot escape. This makes it necessary to exist mostly underground or in a vast network of caves carved by years of storms into the mountains. The clans that exist here deal in rocks and minerals, carving their lives out of the mountains they live in. They're miners as well, collecting rocks and gems of importance and trading them when summer gives them a small window of reprieve.

The Fortress of Ends

10. Sparkling Spire - This ice encrusted mountaintop is kept and lived in by several small scholarly clans. They sharpen the spire to a point and etch runes and artwork down the rest of the ice face. Though it is perpetually iced the weather in the spire is also very calm and quiet which aids in its inhabitant's study. They rely on the other districts for all of their food and tools, though without them the rest of the districts are deprived of most new innovations and knowledge.

11. Crystalline Cliffs - The cliffs are home to warriors, and good ones. There are few homes here but all of those homes are occupied by battle minded clans. Other dragons may be smarter or faster but these dragons are certainly strong. They bully the other clans into making sure they are always kept in food and supplies.

12. Permafrost Palisades - This district is settled into the heart of the Fortress, making up the governing body of the Icefields. The clans that live here are the most logically minded and value rational thinking and reason over passion. Their cliffs overlook the entire domain, which can be seen on clear days.

Rules for Tributes:

 • One male and one female dragon from each district. Once we have that maximum no more entries for that district will be allowed and they will be crossed off the list.
 • If a dragon has lost the games they MUST BE EXALTED so please don't enter with dragons you do not want to exalt. (Dragons may also be sent to the raffle to be exalted if you prefer)
 • All submissions for problems/attacks/prompts must be answered by the deadline to be considered valid. Late responses, without GM knowledge/consent, will be disqualified and may result in your entrant's death.
 • If you are going to be gone for a period of time please notify me so I can get your responses -before- you leave to any prompts that will happen during your absence.

Rules for Sponsors:

 • One cure for one dragon, per round
 • Please do not discuss cures sent in thread or with other sponsors. This should be a surprise each round - absolutely no telling a tribute that you have sponsored them until after the games are over.
 • No pre-paying for cures in advance
 • Send cure fees to me (ZaiaFantasy) via PM with the name of the dragon you are sponsoring for that round. I will keep track of tickets and the raffle will happen when a victor is declared.
 • Cures must be sent in BEFORE the deadline for the next round’s responses to count for that round

The Game: This game will consist of several rounds, up to 11, until a winner is determined. At least one dragon will be eliminated each round. Each round dragons will be given a prompt with several options of things they can do which will determine something that happens to them. This may, or may not, be a good thing. Some of these options will result in a dragon's elimination from competition. Each district has strengths and these will be taken into account when the results for the round are posted. This is meant to be a little roleplay oriented but it is not really necessary. Every round a dragon may challenge any other in direct combat (an attack). Attacks are not necessary but may fit the dragon's personality. The winner of this attack will be determined by RNG with the winner being revealed at the beginning of the next round, which is where eliminations from the previous round happen. Dragons with a [Status] are easier to defeat than healthy dragons. The benefit of attacking is possibly knocking a dragon out of the running for victor but keep in mind this means you may lose as well, and knock yourself out! If you are attacking please ping the dragon you wish to attack in your post. Some of the responses to a prompt may result in [Status] responses to your dragon. This means until the next round they will be weakened by whatever status they have obtained and may be easier to eliminate. Statuses may be poisoned, fatigued, burnt, cold, hungry, wounded or sick. These statuses are where Sponsors are important. Sponsors can buy a cure for your dragon for treasure that will be put into the prize pool. Cures will be more expensive in later rounds than they are in first rounds. Give two status responses to a prompt in a row without a cure and your dragon is eliminated. However, if you emerge victorious... The Tribute Prizes: [item= Winter Wind] [item= Winter Cape] [Item= dark ice chest] and 1/2 of the Sponsor treasure/gems pool The Sponsor Prizes: 1/2 of the sponsor pool of treasure/gems

FAQS:

Q. Does my tribute have to be exalted if they lose?
A. Yes, that's the point of the Games.

Q. Do they have to be an adult?
A. No, not necessarily. Some of the tributes can be quite young, though some people are squeamish about that sort of thing.

Q. Do I have to choose a district based on where my lair actually is?
A. Nope! Choose a district based on the traits you like best.

Q. Can I choose the same prompt as someone else in a round
A. Yep! I'm sure it'll happen a lot.

Q. Are there advantages to having a certain species of dragon as tribute?
A. At this point? No. But only because I feel that would make things too complicated.

Q. Can we form alliances in game play?
A. Yes! You absolutely can and they just may save your life. Or they could get you killed. And eventually you'll have to break those alliances because only one winner can survive.

Any other questions? Ping or PM me!

A brief Description of your dragon's personality: Mate to a vicious dragon, Asane took his place as a tribute because she believed he was more important than her. While she has her own strengths, she has a submissive personality, and would rather run away than fight. She has grown tough and strong from the plant life in the Polar Plains, but that may not be enough to help her when the time comes...

My name is Carlin. Don't know what my name means, well it means little champion. As in I'm little and a champion, obviously born for the role of winning the hunger games. Wasn't obvious? Well it's obvious. Brief, right brief. I'm told I tend to go into long rambling repetitive monologues that lose focus halfway through. But! What is focus really? Maybe I was trying to get you to a different goal that you weren't aware of at the start of the conversation. Goals like winning the Hunger Games. See what I did there? No. Oh, okay well. Yeah, so I was raised in the Shivering Snowlines. We trade a lot, and I'm all up for trading and making friends if you are cool enough. See what I did there? Ice pun. Nice. But yeah I like trading but I want to go against the statusquo. I'm a fighter, kind of. Not really, but sometimes. I've been training for this, a lot. Okay maybe just a year or so. But I'm good at a lot of things. Not really sure... what those things are. Well yeah, I'm sure. I just don't want to ruin the magic, ya know what I mean? But you better believe I can use my smallness to be all sneaky. Don't know I'm coming for you until I'm there. *Bam* So yeah. That's me! Vote for Carlin! (Is that a thing? No. Well okay then.)
