TOPIC | Surprise Boxes !

You walk up to the box, and upon trying to open it, it crumbles. You discover that the things making the light were some glowing pocket baubles. Dissapointed, you turn to walk away. While you were moving, a small familiar offers you a case full of things. Your new little buddy follows you home.

The box is hovering and flickering, it seems to be protecting its contents. You reach out for it, only to discover it moves too fast for you to catch it. The box glitches straight through you in an attempt to escape. Shocked, you punch yourself in the stomach, trying to catch it. Upon contact, it shatters, leaving behind a cog and some broken glass. Ah well. You scavenge as much as possible.

You poke the cluster of wings, only to discover a small hatchling. "Sorry," he tells you. "those bugs must have thought I was one of them." You scoop up the little friend, and you notice a small note attached to him. You also catch a few of the bugs and birds, to serve as his, and your, dinner.

You find three boxes sitting on the ground before you -
Box 1 - This aged wooden crate is a bit damaged on the outside. It's unlikely that it could contain anything of value that hasn't already been plundered, but taking a look inside wouldn't hurt?
Box 2 - This gargantuan box looks like it came from the future! The sophisticated, mechanical theme intrigues you, and the futuristic glow it gives off is certainly pleasing to the eye. Why not try and open it? Only problem is, you don't exactly know how to - Maybe... there's a button?
Box 3 - This abnormally shaped box immediately grabs your attention with it's vivid, eyebleeding colors. Honestly, you aren't sure what could come out of this one, let alone who would even create such a peculiar thing.

[center]@Painrivers - After about 10 minutes of attempting to open the box, you finally come across a small switch at the bottom. Flicking it with a claw, you take a few steps backwards to observe from a distance - You never know what the contents of this box could be capable of. The gargantuan box begins to transform before your very eyes. Metal shifts, gears turn this way and that. Ominous steam suddenly erupts from the sides of the box as it's contents are revealed to you.

A tiny... hatchling?
"Hello!" It squeaks, running (and stumbling a few times) towards you. Before you have time to react, the robotic hatchling jumps into your arms, hugging you. You find a note attached to it's wing, along with a little manual.
It reads "To whoever may find this - Please give RoboDerg a loving home. She may be a robot, but she feels emotion, too."
You take the hatchling home with you.

@rubyxblade - You struggle to find this box's opening, but sooner or later you get it opened. Inside is an array of various items, along with quite tacky apparel. You don't even know what half of these items are, but you decide to take it anyways.

@DarkPuffin - Before you reach out a claw to pry the crate apart, a Crested River Flight makes a jump at you! You easily dodge the pesky creature as it barrels into the dirt behind you, quickly rebounds, and jumps onto your back. Shaking it off doesn't seem to work - The creature holds tight. You have no choice but to bring it home. Picking at the remains of the crate, you uncover a faded ivory bag. It has a few items inside of it as well.
