For elderly spiral ladies!
Deep in the Viridian Labyrinth you happen upon a thriving if hectic clan’s territory. The road in front of you curves around the trees without any visible plan whatsoever and you follow it with growing confusion until you reach a junction. There are four paths in front of you, and a sign in the middle gives a few clues as to where they lead.
Only a few clues, though. Whoever made the sign clearly didn’t think about visitors who are not familiar with the clan, so the only direction you understand is “Main Lair”, to the left. There is “Sky’s The Limit” to the right, “Upward Spiral” going forward, and “Training Dormitories” to the far left. The last one is probably the area for aspiring dragons who want to enter the Gladekeeper’s service, but the other two leaves you scratching your head. Both could be what you’re looking for…
“Hello there!” whispers a sudden voice behind you, making you jump. You spin around, and find yourself snoot-to-snoot with a light purple spiral who has a tiny crown of stars wrapped around her horns. “What are you looking for?”
“Uhm,” you say, blinking into the big pinkish eyes. “The retirement home…?”
“Oh, of course!” The spiral wraps herself off the branch she was hanging from and jumps down next to you. “My name is Lilac, I’m the oldest of the old girls! Are you looking to make an application, or just checking out the place?”
“Just checking out, so far,” you say carefully. “I might apply later.”
“Great, come on!” And she launches herself onto the first tree next to the “Upward Spiral” pathway, remarkably fast for her claimed age.
You follow your fickle guide into the forest, and after about ten minutes of walking you arrive at a big clearing. Spirals occupy the place, although on the far left, between a bigger group of houses you spot a coatl and a couple of skydancers as well. To the right the homes are exclusively built in the trees, and you spy quite a few comfortable hammocks hanging in between. A soft turquoise green spiral lady naps in one of them, using what looks like a fur-trimmed cloak as a blanket. As you arrive she cracks open one amber eye, and smiles down at you.
“Welcome to the Upward Spiral Retirement Home! I’m Sierra, the leader of this bunch. As you can see we live close to the hatchery of the same name, so if you’d like you can play with the younglings, then retreat for a nap here. Unfortunately we have limited space, we can’t accept every applicant but we always welcome interested dragons. What would you like to know?"
What is the Retirement Home?
It’s a form of fodder save for older spiral ladies affected by lair purges. It’s not a conventional fodder save as I’m not purchasing them to get them to new homes, but to become my own permas. I have limited space so I can’t accept all dragons, in case you have a spiral older than 3 years old who isn’t selected I encourage you to seek out Galopa’s Old Oaks.
Which dragons do I accept?
Requirements:Female spirals
Older than 2 years
And have been living in your lair as permas (if you got them as fodder but want to save them I recommend Galopa or other fodder saves)
Preferences:
Existing lore
Having been bred multiple times
Soft, pastel-y colors
I’m buying for 10g/10kt. I'm subbed, no need to ping!
All spiral ladies I choose will be spoiled with apparel and/or accent, scene and (eventually) art!
