Artemis and Eyes are two sides of the same coin; one beautiful and divine, who can see bright futures, and the other mysterious and dark, who's visions often foretell catastrophes. Together, the pair can balance out the dark and light of their visions to find broader outcomes and possibilities. Their ties to magic run deeper than their elemental flights and directly correlate with the moon. Depending on the phase, their powers wax and wane however, rarely do they ever disappear entirely.
The pair travel Sornieth, using their powers to tell the future of those who seek their services. They only settle in an area for brief periods of time before moving on and many dragons see them and their powers as a mystery. Their hatchlings seem to have the same traveling spirit and often leave them to make their own home elsewhere- further spreading the Oracle's influence as they spread throughout Sornieth.
Much like them, their descendants have gained some of their powers. Most hatchlings tend to lean to one type of vision or another while some have managed to have a mixture of vision types. Many of these hatchlings go out and become powerful seers and prophets with strong magic capabilities.
Rarely, hatchlings will be gifted with rarer eyes. Some are found blinded to the world yet their magic and power of future sight has become boosted. Others gain more physical sight. Their magic is typically weaker but they do tend to have more visions, usually depicting several different possibilities.
Later generations have spread their powers to entirely new types of visions. The specialties they tend to lean towards is typically revealed through their tertiary coloration, although there are a few exceptions.

Eclipse Oracles:
Fenrir and Solstice see visions of dark days and dire warnings. Like their typical Moon Oracle kin, they travel and tell others of their visions. Unlike the other kin, their powers increase as the moon wanes and decrease as it waxes. Their visions are most powerful on days of an eclipse and as a result they've deemed themselves Eclipse Oracles.
The Moon and Eclipse Oracles have long since split ties with each other despite their abilities stemming from the same source. These two lines and their descendants don't see eye to eye and often can't stand to interact with each other- each side thinking their abilities and predictions are better than the other. While they have many similarities, their pride refuses to allow them to make amends.
A typical way to tell an Eclipse Oracle from a Moon aside from their magic abilities is by their wings. Eclipse variants tend to have darker wings than their Moon variant counterparts. However, light wings do exist just as darker wings can appear on Moon Oracles. Individuals with a-typical wing colorations to their variant can sometimes be seen as inferior or , though their powers aren't actually effected by these differences.
Just like regular Moon Oracles, their Eclipse kin's vision types are dependent on their tertiary color.
Below are the different vision types based off the dragon's tertiary color:
White range (Maize-Orca): Dragons born with this range often foretell of peaceful times and can uncover solutions with their future sight that can bring peace to their clan.
Grey range (Platinum-Coal): A neutral fate. They can't see peace nor what could lead to death. However, these dragons can help one see a way to change the future whether for better or worse.
Black range (Oilslick-Midnight): These dragons foretell death. Their visions are usually set in stone and while some may try to fight it, rarely will the outcome change.
Purple range (Shadow-Eggplant): Dragons with this range tend to predict gloom. However, they may also be able to commune with spirits during their visions and are often able to bring peace to those grieving their lost one(s).
Blue range (Iris-Spruce): Many of these dragons predict bright futures filled with success. However, some in the darker ranges also have the tendency to foresee storms, whether they be physical in nature or otherwise.
Green range (Peridot-Moss): Lush crops and seasons of plenty are often predicted by dragons in this range. Murkier colors can also predict when famine may strike.
Yellow range (goldenrod-marigold): Riches and fortune often shine down on those who consult these dragons. They often receive visions of wealth, which can come in the form of actual riches or metaphorical riches such as being able to find plenty of joy.
Orange range (sunshine-cinnamon): They bring warnings in their visions. Much of what they see can be avoided as long as the listener is able to change in time. These warnings don't always bring harm, but can teach a lesson to arrogance as well.
Brown range (Caramel-rust): Dragons in this range often foretell of dark days and sickness. Not all is lost upon hearing of their prophecies however, as they are often able to get hazy glimpses of remedies that may be sought after, though it's likely the initial problem is unavoidable.
Red range (tomato-brick): These dragons have visions of catastrophes. This can range from natural disasters to wars between dragon kind. Listening to their warnings and prophecies might be the only way to escape harm.
Pink range (Coral-pearl): Love and betrayal is a duality these dragons can foretell. While they might not sound as important or impressive, these visions can often show how something sweet can turn into a horrible fate or bring rise to something wonderful. They're also good at exposing traitors to the clan.
Some dragons with multi-colored terts can actively train themselves in duel-type visions. It's more difficult than learning how to read them but with training, these dragons can better see fuller pictures and see more than what mono-colored tert kin can. Those without duel colors have an ability to learn this trick, however it can be extremely difficult for them to pull off.
Common/Uncommon/Unusual/Rare eyes:
The most common Oracles. Those born with these eyes don't have any special abilities or disadvantages that come with some eye types.
Bright eyes:
Dragons with bright eyes tend to have sharp and clear visions. Their physical vision is usually very good as well! However, their seer magic is usually tinted in the color of their element.
Pastel eyes:
Dragons with pastel eyes are often physically blind, though they can see visions just as well as any other seer. Their elemental magic is often low, which means they often rely on their lunar abilities to make up for it.
Faceted eyes:
Fragmented visions are unavoidable, though this can also mean they can see several outcomes... just not the full story. Their physical vision can be poor as well, some are even completely blind.
Goat eyes:
They can more easily learn to see other kinds of visions than the ones they were born with. However their visions are broader and aren't necessarily accurate.
Primal eyes:
Bursting with elemental energy has caused their lunar magic to be unstable. Their visions come strongly but are often hard to decipher due to the amount of elemental magic they possess disrupting their visions.
Multigaze eyes:
They can see many things at once both physically and with their abilities. However, this often leads to confusion on what their visions are about. They often get headaches from trying to follow so many at once.
Glowing eyes:
Over run by magic these dragons rarely even know what's happening in reality. Their visions have overcome their physical sight and while powerful and clear, can cause issues with deciphering what's real and what's a vision
Rules
-Please ping me for any questions you may have that aren't answered in the rules or if you'd like to be put on/take off the ping list for something!
-Moon Oracles are assigned a generation at birth if they meet the qualifications. Artemis and Eyes are 'Gen 0' so their hatchlings will be 'Gen 1'
*note that the parents are gen 1 dragons so the hatchlings have a bonus of being pure gen 2 dragons
-Breeding between generations (even if they're 5 apart) is not allowed! This is to keep the generations clearly marked.
-Breeding between M.O. lines should be avoided to avoid confusion of lineage
-Hatchlings can be sold OR given away free, seller's choice
Requirements
- Must have 1 parent related to Artemis/Eyes OR Fenrir/Solstice
- Maize through Shadow for the primary
- Maize through Shadow for the secondary
-Tert can be any color
For dragons who's parents aren't registered:
- Must be leveled to at least lvl 8 (to represent the 8 moon phases) to prove they are worthy of being called a Moon oracle.
Honorary Moon Oracles:
-Any generation that doesn't meet the color requirements
-MUST be leveled to 20 (or higher) to register
-As they don't reflect the moon's colors they must work extra hard to prove themselves and hone their bloodline's abilities
