I remember that the old thread had some sort of "challenge" where you had to participate in each listed thread/x amount of listed threads/etc.; have you thought about bringing that back? @Hyzenthlaay There was a challenge, but to me it was super confusing and looked like it would be really hard to maintain. If you want to start one back up definitely let me know and I'll link to it though! Not quite the same, but I have started a Choose Your Own Adventure style Breeding/Trading Challenge.
