Slyfoot's brother - a Night Warrior without the right colors. Bregedyr, his family had named him. The wildfire, raging passionate and burning bright in the night. But this fire was too bright, too light for the night. He stood out against the dark sky like a star amongst the clouds. His wings glittered in the night, and the beauty of his body cast reflections on the ground. "I can't join you, Sly. I fear I'll be cast out..." The sound of his brother's disheartened voice shattered Slyfoot's heart. He turned, angry and raging - passion against passion, brother against brother - and headed for the tall tower that their ancient ancestor sat in - Pulchrior, the head of the Night Warrior family tree. Around him, others of the family heard his cause. They too, joined in his march to their ancestor's tower. When the door swung open, there, piled in amongst the papers and the books and the writings, sat Pulchrior, and at his side a tiny silver hatchling rattling on to his ancestor's amusement and pride. Bregedyr had beaten them to the tower and sat next to the family head, rumbling on in his small voice. Slyfoot paused, staring at his brother who sat so proud, so happy next to their ancestor. That's when he realized his brother had more than it took to convince their ancestor that he was perfect to be a Night Warrior. However, when Bregedyr turned to look at him, his face happy, it shocked Slyfoot to hear what he had to say. "I'm starting my own family, Sly! Grandpaps said it was okay! He said I would be welcomed as a Night Warrior, but that if I want to make my own family, he would allow it," came Bregedyr's loud voice. "He even introduced me to this girl. Look at her!" Behind Bregedyr came a wide-eyed soft pink colored Nocturne. Her bright green eyes reflected the light of the runes marking her sides and face as did the brilliant sheen of her red wings. Bregedyr excitedly turned to her, scooping up the slightly smaller hatchling and nearly falling to the ground. "Sly, Dama, Orion! Everyone, meet Nimbrethil! She's gonna be a part of my project. We're going to lead the world one day!" Behind the two hatchlings, a snort of laughter escaped Pulchrior, though he managed to somewhat hide it. The great Guardian loomed over the two hatchlings, picking them up and cradling them in his wings, "I will be proud to see your project begin and grow into greatness as mine has. I will be alongside you both through whatever you need. The Night Warriors will respect you and together, our families will protect the world." Smiling adoringly up at his ancestor, Bregedyr nodded, "Yeah!" Nimbrethil simply peered up at Pulchrior, shyly half-hiding behind her red wing. A few weeks later, Bregedyr once again knocked on Pulchrior's door - well, the first time he actually knocked. No one really speaks about the great shout of surprise that came from the tower when Bregedyr first burst into it shouting at his ancestor that he would be the greatest warrior Sornieth had ever seen. When invited in, Bregedyr stepped in, regal and proud. He bowed to his grandfather respectfully, and lifted himself up to smile at him, "I've done it, Grandpaps. I made it to level twenty of my training. I am ready to take on the mantle of a leader. I wanted to share my progress with you. I hope you're proud of me." Pulchrior studied his grandson, eyes soft. He was proud of Bregedyr. Incredibly so. Behind Bregedyr, Nimbrethil came in, dressed in the most beautiful silks and lace - a fitting outfit for such a beautiful girl in Pulchrior's mind. Pride at the sight of them swelled within him. He couldn't be happier for them. With his blessing, the two cousins hurried to make their family tree. It would be hard, but they would do it to make him proud. And that was how the family of Bródúil Caomhnóirí began. IE: Bregedyr and Nimbrethil are generation 0. Their children would be generation 1. Their grandchildren would be generation 2 and so on. - Crosses are allowed, with a few exceptions. [b]Accepted[/b] Crosses: Bródúil Runners - Bródúil Caomhnóirí & Celestial Runner hatchlings. Nightingale Caomhnóirí - Nightingale/Bródúil Caomhnóirí [b]Unaccepted[/b] Crosses: Night Warriors/Bródúil Caomhnóirí, Starwalker/Bródúil Caomhnóirí, Roaming Riot/Bródúil Caomhnóirí. [i]Night Warriors and Bródúil Caomhnóiri are not allowed to interbreed because they are all on the same family tree. Because of this interbreeding them leads to unclear generations on both family trees and we'd just really like to avoid that.[/i] [b]Crosses MUST follow Bródúil Caomhnóirí requirements to be registered, regardless of the other project's requirements.[/b] - No inbreeding, even if they are far enough removed from one another for the breeding system to permit it. The idea is to introduce new blood in. Inbreeding leads to unclear generation numbers and no new breeds, genes or colors. We want to expand the family. - Once a dragon reaches Level 20, they will be eligible to be placed on the project's page. Their hatchlings will also become eligible to be posted on this page. - Only one parent needs to be a Bródúil Caomhnóirí in order to qualify. That parent must be at least level 20 and related to one of the two founding dragons. - [b]Hatchlings will be listed for [u]FREE[/u] adoption.[/b] If anyone is caught charging for their hatchlings, they will be banned from participating in any contests and may be banned from the project entirely. They're more than welcome here. Once you've received the word that your hatchling is too light to be a Night Warrior, you can come here to get it registered as a Bródúil Caomhnóirí. There are a few rules to them being registered here. Those rules are as follows: - Your dragon must be level 25 to be registered as an Honorary Bródúil Caomhnóirí. - If your Honorary Bródúil Caomhnóirí has hatchlings that are too dark to be Bródúil Caomhnóirís, they are allowed on the Night Warrior thread. - Your Honoary Bródúil Caomhnóirí will be given the generation number 1. Bregedyr and Nimbrethil are the only Generation 0 dragons on this thread. Your dragon's hatchlings will be given a generation number starting from 2 and increasing with their hatchling and grandhatchlings. - You may list your Honorary Bródúil Caomhnóirí's hatchlings here as long as they fit the requirements of being a Bródúil Caomhnóirí.
