Researcher's Notes: Classic Gummytails Classic Gummytails seem to display no unique colorations outside of their gummy-like scales. Classic Gummytails are a Gummytail in their purest state of being and are rather simple, happy creatures. Tertiary: Basic |

Researcher's Notes: Tinted Gummytails Tinted Gummytails have a very thin layer of coloration that can subtley or drastically change the underlying colors at the expense of making the scales slightly less shiny. Side note: Our own assistant, Gummi, has been discovered to be a Tinted Gummytail after some extensive research! Tertiary: Stained |

Researcher's Notes: Dipped Gummytails Dipped Gummytails have a matte layer of scales on their stomaches and footpads that give off the appearance of a gummy that has been dipped in chocolate or similar flavoring. Side note: While Gummytails don't mind being reffered to as different "flavors", especially for the Dipped Gummytails, do not try to eat them. That's rude. Tertiary: Underbelly |

Researcher's Notes: Two Tone Gummytails Two Tone Gummytails have a VERY unique appearance- Their backs and the majority of their tails display split sections of colors with some spots scattered across the body with the same coloration as the outside color stripe. The likeness of this color split has put the researchers in mind of gummies that have two split color sections, so we've decided to dub these as "Two Tone" Gummytails. Tertiary: Gecko |

Researcher's Notes: Swirled Gummytails Recently discovered by complete accident, Swirled Gummytails seem to display an interesting swirled color pattern on their scales. Seen MOSTLY in whites or pastel colors, some seem to have shown more vibrant colors as well. Most interestingly, however, is the fact that they seem to display swirled eyes more commonly than other Gummytails and enjoy rolling around in their free time. Tertiary: Flames |

Researcher's Notes: Gourmet Gummytails Our sweetest addition to date, researchers have recently uncovered a new type of Gummytail. Emerging with the return of Susie's shop opening, these Gummytails have berries adorning their bodies. The berries seem to grow back if plucked, baffling the researchers, but the Gourmet Gummytails don't seem to react when the berries are no longer attached, negatively or otherwise. These Gummytails also seem to include more fruits and berries into their diets, carrying a sweet, fruity aroma with them as a result- We've even observed them eating their own berries, perhaps as a nutritional suppliment. Just don't mind the extra mess caused by the decorative frosting- They get embarrassed if it gets pointed out. Tertiary: Sweet |

Researcher's Notes: Fizzy Gummytails Quite possibly one of the most unique Gummytail variants to date, Fizzy Gummytails seem to have floating clusters of rocks surrounding them. Despite several researchers advising against it, one brave soul took it upon themself to bite into one of the rocks and found that they were brittle when bitten into. Sweet upon first taste before turning more sour and creating a fizzy, popping texture the longer it disolves. The rocks seem to exhibit similar properties to the Gourmet Gummytails in the way that the rocks regenerate with time. Definitely a more acquired taste from the usual sweetness of most other Gummytails. Tertiary: Rockbreaker |

Researcher's Notes: Whipped Gummytails Similar to Swirled Gummytals, Whipped Gummytails exhibit spiral patterns across the body. What sets them apart, however, is a more flat, matte appearance of these spirals and large blobs. These spirals seem soft to the touch and the larger blobs of color seem to hold air beneath the skin, resulting in a Gummytail that can float short distances without the use of their wings and are lighter to hold. They enjoy rolling around like Swirled Gummytails do, but their lighter weight results in them floating above the ground as the roll around, which can cause some panic in hatchlings who are unaware of the floating ability. Tertiary: Kumo |

Researcher's Notes: Drizzled Gummytails Another Gummytail exhibiting similarities in spiral patterns with large blobs of color to Whipped Gummytails, Drizzled Gummytails have a large mask-like pattern on their face and some star markings on their body along with a more "drizzle" like form of spiral along the body that seem to sparkle in certain lighting. They don't seem to get along with Swirled and Whipped Gummytails as much, seeming to be annoyed by the constant rolling exhibited by both variants and perferring to isloate from them... However, this seems to be more for appearances than initially thought as researchers have secretly recorded isolated Drizzled Gummytails rolling around for fun. Researchers have also noted that introducing Hatchlings from all 3 varities to each other doesn't seem to yield the same results and have several documented notes about the three varities rolling around as a form of play- More notes needed on how early socialization between the three groups affects Drizzled Gummytails as they age. Tertiary: Wish |

Researcher's Notes: Artisan Gummytails Displaying some of the most unique patterns so far, Artisan Gummytails all display unique patterning across their body. From the moment they hatch, their body is covered in uniform spots, all evenly spaces, as well as some striping on the tail and face. Some researchers have tried to place them in the same group as the Swirled, Whipped and Drizzled Gummytails, however Artisan Gummytails seem more confused by the constant rolling around they display and have a tendancy to do a few rolls before getting dizzy, however they seem to like hopping around and making small circles on the ground in lieu of rolling, perhaps reflective of their patterning. Tertiary: Polkadot |

Researcher's Notes: Fluffy Gummytails The Gummytail variant that has baffled researchers the most as of time of entry, Fluffy Gummytails have what appears to be some kind of sugary, fluffy candy stuck throughout their bodies. What was originally thought to be a Classic Gummytail that got into something resembling lint or fur, we have discovered that these are, in fact, a whole new variant of Gummytail. They are very avoidant of water and, when one researcher finally managed to get one in water and attempt to wash off the candy stuck to them, found that the candy dissolves in water and results in the Fluffy Gummytail getting upset and mildly ill while the body attempts to reconstruct the lost candy. The researcher was then avoided by the bathed Gummytail and has still been working on regaining the trust of the subject, even long after the candy has reappeared. Tertiary: Spectre |

Researcher's Notes: Goopy Gummytails Perhaps the stickiest Gummytails to date, Goopy Gummytails seem to exhibit a constant drip of syrup from their bodies. Origin of the mystery liquid unknown, attempts to clean them in water or with any sort of cloth proves fruitless as the syrup-y substance is hydrophobic, causing water to simply roll off the body. Other Gummytail variants seem unbothered and largely unaffected by the syrup, with some even having been observed eating it with their normal food or on its own as a snack, but it's proven to be messy and nigh impossible to clean for the researchers. Once the syrup makes contact with something, it simply sticks to- (The rest of the note is covered in a thick, sticky green syrup and seems to have been frantically gnawed on on one corner.)
