When her search inevitably fails and her life was lost once more they waited for her return. Even now there are a few still living who’s friendship has transcended lifetime’s, it’s nice to know despite her reincarnations alienating her from the dragons of the present, she will always have an ally from her own past waiting.

Another hand to assist on deck, to draw op the nets they had cast and sort through their catch. Fishing wasn’t his usual occupation, this ship was far different from any he was used to. Even when he was upon the less upstanding ships they still steered clear of any fishing vessels, claimed it was bad luck to take from those who made their lively hood from the sea itself. He was starting to think it was because they feared the dragons that knew the sea better than themselves. The secrets he learned in that fishing boat would take him to his watery grave, then they would pave his escape.

They were a shipping vessel using the sea to transport large quantities of goods quickly between ports. Being commissioned by various trading sects paid well but there were some who realized that the goods they were transporting would pay them much better. Their ship had a reputation, trusted to transport many of the better quality hauls but a similar relationship could not be found on deck. While Standford wasn’t aware of the full truth concerning what went down during his final days on that ship he knows he went overboard at some point, he awoke on the outskirts of the contagion and soon stumbled into the vast desert of plague.
