Luckily, the village I found had an inn for travelers like me. I had asked if Lily had been through, but the Aberration that was the receptionist hadn't recognized her after arguing with each other about it. I thanked them and found my room, all but collapsing in a heap and falling asleep. By the time I woke up, it seemed to be midday of the next day (though with it being eternally dark it was hard to tell) and I felt well rested. I went out and explored the village a little bit, trading goods here and there for my journey and restocking on food as well. I stopped by one shop and immediately saw the cutest little lynx ever. The owner of the shop, a skydancer named Reese, told me I could take the little lynx with me on my travels. I decided to name him Aengus. Soon, Aengus and I were off to our next destination! This was the thought that sparked my journey- a journey to find my mother.[/i] ----- [b]Entry 1[/b] The first place I arrived was within the shadow territory. It had been a long journey from the Arcanists Domain and I needed to rest my wings for a bit. It was so dark, I couldn't even see in front of me! However, I soon found a pathway lit by lanterns in all different colors, it was truly beautiful! Following the pathway led me to a village that was hidden behind a large wispwillow, but was bustling none the less. I was hopeful that mother would be here, the only problem was I had no idea what she looked like. So I went about studying the active dragons from afar, booking a room at the Inn for the night in the process. I felt as if I had met and talked to every dragon, but surely I hadn't. I finally retired when the last lantern in the village was burning out, embracing some much needed rest. When I awoke the next morning, I just knew mother wasn't here. I could feel it in my bones. Some of the kind dragons who hosted me packed me some food for my travels, one even gave me a scarf to wear in case of colder weather! With warm goodbyes, I took flight to continue searching for mother. I know she's out there somewhere. She has to be! ----- [b]Entry 2[/b] While I don't think she's my mother, there was [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/71959137]a dragon[/url] that kind of acted like a mom! She's kind of a... zombie, I guess? She isn't really able to talk or communicate easily, so that made things a bit hard at first, but eventually I could figure out what she meant when she wanted to say something. She let me stay in her hut during my time here, and while going out and about I was able to meet some other dragons. I think I made friends with this Tundra named [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/78969796]Swampflower[/url] and his guardian [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/46225745]Rusty[/url]. All in all, I think the dragons here are pretty nice! If I ever return here, I think I'll stay. It's nice to know I'll always have a place where I'm wanted! My mother was abusive, so I escaped my nest as a hatchling. I grew up surrounded by many kind dragons, one who taught me everything & how to have a fun time. While I was happy, I did not have a single piece of treasure to my name. This is why I became a Hatchery Hero. A whole new world out there, ready to explore! I also met a certain snapper at the Hatchery Hero hub- Rose. He was a Rescued Ranger from that one fancy Snapper rescue place, and seemed to be one of those "rich and fancy" dragons that had everything, but somehow... he seemed unsatisfied. Part of me wanted to help him have the most fun in the world, as he seemed lost looking for an answer. I don't know what it was, but something told me I should stay with him forever. While I wanted to be adopted as well, I wanted something more- I wanted to have meaningful relationships, and to have fun without thinking about tomorrow. This is why I ran away by foot when I saw an advertisement to became a Rescued Ranger, I wanted to travel the world and have fun while i'm here. This is where I met Jackie. At first I did not think much of her, but it was when she taught me how to fly and gave me the confidence to finally try flying that I did start falling for her. She had everything I was missing- a fun personality, and love. Sadly I found no dragons who had flowers on them, but I did find Faith who greatly loves flowers! I had a great time talking to Faith about flowers. She showed me gorgeous flowers that only bloomed in Wind territory. Faith also helped me improve my fighting my hunting skills. She wanted me to be prepared in case I ever run in to any trouble on my travels. Eventually though I decided it was time to head out of wind territory and continue my travels in search of other flower loving dragons! ----- [b]Entry 2 - Hollowshade Village[/b] The first place I visited once I made it into the village that housed the clan of Hollowshade was the florist. I was pleasantly surprised upon discovering a coatl with flowers upon her delicate butterfly wings! She introduced herself as Serenity and we started talking about the different kinds of flowers and bouquets that looked good together. She taught me about the special glowing flowers native to the Shadow Domain, which were absolutely gorgeous. I was saddened when I had to leave, but I was glad I had met a dragon who loved flowers as much as I had. I hope I get to meet more like her. ----- [b]Entry 3 - Deasupra, Miere[/b] While in Hollowshade, I realized the Viridian Labyrinth was closer than I thought. Being Nature and all, they were bound to have flowers and right I was! I almost got lost while wandering around at first but another Veilspun found me; one that had flowers right on his head like me! He didn't speak in common tones though so I couldn't quite understand him but the clan he led me to was filled with colorful blooms. I think I counted 23 dragons that had flowers growing on them. Not like they had them all around them and were using Nature magic to keep them alive and growing, which some dragons actually did have, but as part of their biology- and that's not including ones who had them sprouting from their eyes. A few really lovely dragons who tended to most of the flowers around their town and were like a welcoming committee started teaching me more about the plants of their territory. It was really cool and I really did learn a lot thanks to them but as amazing as it was to be surrounded by flowers of all kinds, I think I want to see even more that don't grow in Deasupra- ones native in the cold icy tundras or to the crystal islands of the Starfall Isles. I'm sure there's more- even if they're not as bountiful. The dragons are so friendly, and there's even another Gaoler here... They look pretty! I'll go talk to them. Maybe I'll offer to bring him with me when I leave! ----- [b]Entry 2[/b] Karthus and I decided to stay deeper in arcane territory, in a lovley kingdom called Thifolia. It has a cozy inn, a cool castle, and a soooky mysterious dungeon. Who wouldn’t love it? I ask with sarcasm, as Karth seemed freaked out. I still think he’s cool, but it was a little sad he didn’t share my excitement. It’s not like we’re anything more anyway. [s]I wish we were though[/s] Anyway, we decided to stay a few nights before leaving in the morning. I hope the next stop is something just as exciting. Just maybe something we’ll both like. Who knows? ----- [b]Entry 3[/b] I ended up returning to the Kingdom of Ascension, where everyone gathered around to welcome me! I felt like such a celebrity! The day of my return there was a party, and I was awarded with an Arcanist doll of honor! Hours later, I was resting for a bit afterwards, holding the doll in my hand and being excited to earn more, when suddenly, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/53000086]Turing[/url] opened the door and came in! He told me about another Arcane clan calling me to become part of their clan. Turing was excited about this, saying that I was the first in the program to be called to join another clan. At first I was hesitant, since Turing told me I’d have to leave the program if I transferred home clans. At first I did not want to go, but it turns out Karthus wanted me to join him in his clan! Wow! Being fond of Karthus, I accepted the offer, and after a grand farewell party I set off to the skies as a retired Rescued Ranger! Who knows what adventures I’ll have with Karthus! Rubies & sapphires. Rose quartzes, pearls, garnets & amethysts. I want to see and collect all the different types of gems in the world! Back home, there was rose quartz everywhere! One particular one was a certain rose quartz in the shape of a diamond, It stood out to me more than the other rose quartzes in the area. This is the first of many gems I collected on my journey." ----- [b]Ventus Clan[/b] Lapidot found herself in the wind territory. She came across a group of dragons who called themselves the Ventus Clan. They offered to let Lapidot stay with them for a while. The Ventus clan helped Lapidot improve her fighting skills so that she could better protect her crystal collection from possible thief's. Eventually Lapidot decided to continue her journey and bid goodbye to the Ventus Clan. An encounter with the wind travelers After Lapidot left the Ventus Clan, she was alone for a while. Alone and lost in the unknown territory, she wandered. After what felt like years, she met a beautiful dragon named Kassadin. He was a traveler as well. He said he travels with a group of dragons from everywhere. Lapidot fell in love with the idea, but she also fell in love with Kassadin. He showed her that traveling is better in groups. They had two kids together, Borealis and Aurora. They were happy together. One night, Kassadin gave her a crystal, she said is called an amber, and promised to be with her. Forever. And so they left the group and traveled together. It was all well. For some time, at least. They were attacked by an unknown, hostile clan and were forced to separate. Now, Lapidot is alone again, forced to continue her quest alone. Just like she started. ----- [b]Entry 3: Cave of Lost Souls[/b] Calla is used to welcoming strangers to her clan and quickly figured out where Lapidot would fit best in her clan. She is quick to introduce her to Amethyst, a fellow gem enthusiast. He listens to her dream of collecting a gem from everywhere she visits and gives her a beautiful piece of jade. Surely, surely shadowkin dragons would be able to see me. I made my way to a village that housed a clan named Hollowshade, and immediately I noticed the variety of dragons. It seemed not many noticed my arrival, I had been bumped into a few times. When I made my way to the Inn, the Aberration at the front desk gave me a quizzical look. "Your skeleton matches ours" started the left head. The right head nodded "it's just a different color!" I was surprised at this, but nodded at them. After some small talk, I found my room and decided to retire for the night - it had been a long flight. I awoke to two large purple eyes looking at me as a spiral hatchling sat coiled in front of me. I blinked, thinking my eyes were blurry and I was seeing three. But it wasn't the sleepiness, there were three. They just stared at me in wonder, and I was confused. "What are you...." That's not the case for me, though. I don't have a single gene on me, and I've been sad about it. A lot of times, I've thought about whether I was good enough to become a permanent resident of a loving clan, and that's why I'm here, getting ready to travel.
