The dragons laid to rest were the first to change when the Shade like presence found this ignored patch of land. But this time their magic fought back, even in death. The battle turned their scales to slime, thick and oily dripping off their bones. As their bodies fell apart, reformed, an endless cycle of constructing and deconstructing their very core, they felt am immense hunger growing. They needed to fuel this endless ritual, no matter which side emerged victorious, they had to [i]feed[/i]. Leaving the sanctuary of the cemetery, these beasts left a wake of destruction as they began to devour everything within their path, leaving blackened oily scars through the very ground itself. When they do pick names, they are often harsh sounding with rough edges. It is not uncommon for their names to contain 'K's or 'S's and be more consonants than vowels and feel more like hisses than names. However even among the few that choose names, these names are rarely shared as Serpentines do not speak.
