The shopping district of Sorneith is teeming with dragons and filled to the brim with every kind of booth, shop, cart, or stall you could imagine. There are trinkets, treasures, food and fabrics, all swaying enticingly in the breeze, beckoning you to touch, look, smell what they had to offer. Any savvy shopper worth their salt can be found here, haggling with various merchants and traders, trying to get the best prices, and it takes a while for you to navigate the crowded streets and find your way to the quieter side roads of the district.
But you eventually make your way to a small cobblestone street, walled high on either side by white clay buildings with balconies overlooking the little alleyway and flower boxes that spill pink and red across the bright blue sky. Tucked away here you spy a tailor's shop, antique painted sign chipped and sun-faded and walnut wood storefront weathered with age. But despite its humble appearances, the large glass display out front displays dazzling array of outfits from across Sorneith, each sewn with sumptuous fabrics and impeccable craftsmanship. Inside, you can see a pale white Wildclaw, dressed to the nines, buzzing away at a Guardian's dress form.

"Oh, hello!" He calls as you push your way inside, the joyful tinkle of a small bell alerting him to your presence. He seems kind, if a bit frazzled, and hastily shoves aside his shears and pincushion to meet you at the counter. "My name is Scroll, and I'm the head tailor - er, well, the only tailor, right now - here at Thread and Shears. Do let me know if you see anything that catches your eye, and I'd be happy to arrange a fitting."

This tailor's shop has available ready-to-wear designs for anyone to use. If you see one you like, feel free to take inspiration, change it, or use it whole cloth, and if you'de like feel free to credit me with a Thread and Shears banner in the dragon's bio. Of course, tips are always welcome as a way to show your appreciation!
Please note that this is NOT a custom design shop, but more like a department store where you can peruse the available pieces and pick and choose ones you like for yourself. Unfortunately, due to my personal life and work schedule, I only take custom orders very occasionally, and generally on an individual basis, so please don't fill up my inbox with requests!

It's bound in marbled paper, swirling in pinks and creams, and lays open to a print of a delicate fae surrounded in flowing silks floating lazily in a simple sky of pale blue. You thumb through the pages, occasionally landing on something you like and mentally noting it for later, and as you do Scroll notices your interest.
"Ah, I see you've spotted the fashion plates! All of those etchings are samples of the designs I have available in this shop. They're free to take, of course, so you're welcome to take a look and grab a copy if you'd like!"

As you start pulling out a few fashion plate cards to bring to the front desk, another dragon sweeps in to the shop - a beautiful Nocturne, dressed head-to-toe in frilly green silks, fine ribbons, and rose gold clockwork that ticks when she moves. You recognize the outline of the design from one of the books you just finished - an emerald green set with red ribbons - but it's been changed significantly to match her own taste. You begin wonder how many spectacularly dressed dragons you've seen in the past bought their finery in this very shop...
