Well.. the first ever dragon saved finally got exalted. Lasted over a year past his original exalt date though! Fly high, Conjure
76668616.png Conjure is a special type of magician. He doesn't deal in petty tricks, like making flowers appear.

Instead he toys with your emotions, making you feel however he wants.

This is not always a bad thing; he can cheer you up on a bad day.

Just don't get on his bad side.

76632177.png Written in the stars reflected in the black ocean at night.

That's where Aries saw her true self, burning in the sky millions of miles away.

She had felt from a young age that the stars were staring at her, begging her to read them. So she never looked up. But it was on a calm night when the ocean was still and black like a mirror, she saw them. She saw what had been written for her billions of years ago.

After that night she ran away, never once more daring to cast her gaze to the stars.

76657120.png
Until the day we meet again

Cerebus bellowed those words into the wind and the smoke as the world exploded around them.

A giant smile plastered on his face, as always. It felt as if the destruction echoing around them faded away and it was only him, standing proud and fearless.

Then he turned away, and disappeared into the smoke.

I will never forget you

76660773.png The only crime Quartz has every committed was trusting someone else. And the price she paid for that crime was everything.

Even today she tries to shut out the memories of that painful time, but her heart remains scarred.

But scars just make you stronger.

While she knows she will never truly trust again, she has found a way to make her own in the world. Quartz fights on.

76562450.png Kikimora threw her head back and laughed into the dark night sky. Her mad eyes gazed into the abyss, as if the random scattering of stars held some meaning.

She felt lost, so lost. There was no one out here to help her. She was going to have to make it on her own.

But Kikimora didn't mind. She loved trekking the marshes, catching what she could, barely surviving. But before she always had a home she could return to if things got bad. Not anymore.

76682688.png Spending everyday in his workshop, Puppet has always loved carving various dolls and sculptures from scraps and bits of wood he found around his den.

However this lifestyle led to a sense of loneliness, and soon his creations became his only friends. He would speak to them as he worked, told them everything.

That was, until one day one of them spoke back...

76626495.png
'Sure, a little glimmer in your chest will impress the others, but not me'

Heartless walked home in the rain, drenched. She rose her head to the sky as her tears melted into the rain.

She wondered why the pain from sadness lasted so much longer than happiness.

But it was ok. She would fight to the end.

76656421.png Phelippa loves you. No matter who you are, Phelippa will love you as if you were her own child.

She will always find a way to remove your sadness, or pain. People have called her an angel sent from the Lightweaver himself.

If you ask her why she loves you, she will always answer:

"Because I am weak"

76572182.png And we were always laughing. In my memories I can still see her smiling face.

Madock will always be searching the wind for her friend. The one ray of light in her world of shadow. The one reason to keep going.

She knows that she can find her. She must be out there somewhere, still smiling.

After all, there's no way that dead dragon was her. That corpse wasn't smiling.

76678450.png Glitch feels as if she has been pretending her whole life. Pretending to be normal, pretending to be a dragon, when in fact she is something very different.

She feels like a bag of broken glass, all jumbled up, close to splitting open.

All she ever wanted was an identity she could call her own. But watching her siblings play always made her feel so much more disconnected.

Maybe one day I will find myself

Shouting out her name, Boccaccio reached a wing out to her friend - although her shout was lost to the wind. At that moment a huge gust of wind caught Boccaccio under her wings. 76699463.png Summer stretched out her wings as she basked in the suns rays. All around her were the sounds of hatching dragons playing, fighting, laughing.

She loved her job at the daycare center. Every day she would get to have fun with the youngsters, and maybe even teach them a lesson or two about life.

And God forbid you ever threatened one of the hatchings.

Summer would not like that.

76572307.png Eria made his way through the fields of long grass, his long tail trailing behind him as he walked. The sun was starting to set, drawing long shadows across the land and bringing the first signs of twilight.

With one final look back, he gazed upon the horizon that now hid his hometown. He knew he would never return.

Continuing on his journey, Eria laughed to himself. No one knew. No one knew!! For the first time he felt as if he were walking free from the chains that bound him to his old life.

Memories of his family and friends flashed through his mind, but he dismissed them with a shake of his head. Although it would be hard taking this journey alone, Eria knew he had been destined for this since he was born.

Finally... I am free

76633923.png It is said if you stare into the abyss, the abyss may stare back.

Abyss can be found by the crystal pool, under the weeping tree. She stares into the water, at her own reflection, for hours at a time.

Look into Abyss's eyes and you may find you are unable to turn away.

76667402.png A ghost calls out your name in the mist. Ignoring it you hurry along, not wanting to end up like those you heard in stories. Cold and stiff lying at the bottom of the pond.

However, Ghost sits back alone, watching another traveler fly by without stopping. Dejected, he heads back to his clan and sits alone, unsure why no one wants to come near him.

Next time a strange voice calls out, maybe call back?

76573573.png A crack of lightning shot down from the sky. Rain lashed down as thunder boomed and echoed across the mountains.

Another bolt of lightning, but this time something could be seen. A silhouette of a dragon flashed for a split second, lit up by the cracking electricity.

Spark raced along the bottom of the black clouds, twisting and turning in glee. She knew it was dangerous to go out flying in thunderstorms. But it was the only time she ever felt alive.

76686219.png Fields threw open the shutters of his shop. Looks like it was going to be another busy day.

For as long as he could remember Fields has been obsessed with beautiful clothes, and the dragons who wore them. Being able to make a dragon look stunning had always felt like his purpose in life.

He would sit for hours every night sewing together various outfits in an attempt to make something new and amazing. In the day he would tend his shop and always try to find the most fitting outfit for his interested customers.

Fields knew that even if his paws bled from overwork, he would never stop making clothes.

76763705.png Phantom lifted his huge wings, stretching them out to the top of the cave. All the hatchings gasped in awe, as the map of stars written on his wings shone onto their gawping faces.

It had been a long time since the young were allowed outside at night, for fear of their safety. So in place of being able to see the stars Phantom would happily show off the genes he was blessed with.

And at night, when they were all sleeping, he would sneak out to gaze at the clear night sky for hours and hours, just staring at the stars.

76822249.png The ground shook around them. Everyone was huddled together in the den, sheltering from the storm that was the worst this land had seen in 100 years. Boccaccio, still a hatching, was hiding under her mothers wings.

Her venom slowly seeped into its bloodstream as Toxo closed her eyes. This was her way of hunting. She had been blessed with the special venom producing ability of her family, and intended to pass on the tradition passed on for generations. As her prey's fluttering heart slowly stopped beating Toxo raised her head and glanced towards her mother, who gave her an approving nod. She smiled. With another hunter in the family, they should not go hungry again. -----[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Surf glided along the top of the water, the tips of her wings slightly breaking the surface causing a trail of ripples behind her. It had been a long flight, but it was almost over. It felt like she had been flying for years, searching. But she knew the island would appear on the horizon soon. You see, ever since Surf was a hatchling she had heard stories of a great mage who could grant any lightning dragon the power to control the weather. And she needed this power. For far too long the weather had caused great storms that had killed many of her friends who had been hunting out on the ocean. No more. And as the island finally came to view, just behind the setting sun, Surf smiled. She was going to get this power. No matter what it takes. -----[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Terror is sometimes seen by dragons who fell into the ocean and could not find the surface. She is a ghost story told to scare those who dare go on long ocean trips. It is told that she is the ghost of a dragon who was stolen from her den, and drowned when she tried to escape her captors and fell into a watery grave. But even now she still swims the depths, searching for her family. If you are unlucky enough to get lost under the ocean you may see a dark figure floating towards you. At first you will not be able to make out the shape, but as it draws closer you will notice a piercing pair of blue eyes aiming for you. Then, deep inside, you will feel a paralyzing terror. Let's hope you make it to the surface in time. Because if not, Terror will take you back to be a part of her family. -----[/columns] [columns] [nextcol]Neptune clasped the edge of the cliff, staring down into the deep blue water below. Deep in concentration he watched the shapes and shadows of the fish darting below the surface, waiting for his moment. ...Now. With some effort he flapped his wings, carrying the huge shark towards the beach where the other dragons waited eagerly. Neptune flashed them a grin. 76732881.png Toxo lowered her head and gently sank her fangs into the prey below her.

76821821.png Surf glided along the top of the water, the tips of her wings slightly breaking the surface causing a trail of ripples behind her.

76857767.png Terror is sometimes seen by dragons who fell into the ocean and could not find the surface.

76838832.png Neptune clasped the edge of the cliff, staring down into the deep blue water below. Deep in concentration he watched the shapes and shadows of the fish darting below the surface, waiting for his moment.

...Now.

Quick as a flash he shot down towards the waves, crashing through, claws outstretched. The fight was over in a second.

With some effort he flapped his wings, carrying the huge shark towards the beach where the other dragons waited eagerly. Neptune flashed them a grin. He truly felt like the king of this tribe.

76856592.png Lychee is light and sweet.

He's like smelling a tulip blooming under the bright sun. Like stepping into the water for the first time on a hot day. Like laughing with your friends at another stupid joke.

Most days you can find him sat in the old oak tree, relaxed on the branches, passing out fresh fruit to dragons who pass by.

Lychee just wants to make everyone smile.

76683898.png When he was a hatching, Shine's mother would take him out at night. She would show him just how big the sky was.

Gazing up at them, he felt something strange. All the amazing and terrible things happening on this world dwindled away in the face of the great sky opening above him.

It felt as if the stars had been placed in the sky just for him.

76687186.png Lapis was found in a dark cave, covered in dirt and dust.

After being scrubbed countless times, they realized the grey patches on her skin were not coming off. Lapis grew up with the stares, with the bullying of always being called "dirty".

But Lapis didn't mind. She was sure her parents must have had the same disease, that's how genes are passed on. So although she never knew her parents, she felt connected to them through the pattern on her skin.

76818586.png Wisteria was found outside her adoptive parent's den, just a few days old, with nothing but a note with her name on it.

When he was young he found a rusting contraption that had sunk to the bottom of a lake. After many hours of effort he managed to drag it out onto land, where he studied it with wonder.

Everyday Copper can be found tinkering with various discarded parts and machines that he had found while exploring.

?(hikari), meaning light

Hikari has lived his life being mistook for his sister, Yami. Although similar, Yami is distinguishable by the dark streak in the fur on her head.

Left all alone together at a young age, Hikari has always had to look after Yami as no matter what she would seem to find trouble. He became used to her coming home bleeding, and even though he would strictly reprimand her, she would just scoff and claim it was thanks to her they hadn't starved. ?(yami), meaning darkness

Yami's earliest memory is clutching onto her twin brother, Hikari, as they watched everything they knew get taken away. That night they fled into the darkness together, fully aware the home they once knew was gone.

Since then they have traveled the land, scarping and scrounging, trying to find enough food to get by. But she loved her brother. He was all she had. And would kill any dragon who dared to try and hurt him.

Please don't leave me behind

Torn's voice echoed throughout the now empty cave, as he sat alone.

Was this his destiny, to always be the last one to leave. To be the one dragon left all alone.

Sadness turned to anger turned to hate.

Slowly he began to resent everyone that left him behind. He burst out of the cave, ready to get his revenge...

76626492.png Femur sits on the highest rock, picking her teeth with a bone. She casts a lazy glance across the land, slowly falling into twilight.

Stretching out her wings she leaps into the air and soars down, building up speed as she shoots towards the ground. At this rate, no one can stop her.

Asmin looked up in defeat at her mother, who's unchanging face stared at her in contempt.

This world is cruel, this much she knew.
But out there, there must be some love. Someone to believe in.

Until she finds that, she will just have to believe in herself.

76849275.png Romeo watched from atop the mountain as the two dragons below walked away from each other, their heads held low.

Tch. Another failure.

Romeo wasn't excited about telling his brother, Valentine, the bad news. But they both knew that creating love from scratch was hard. That wouldn't stop them though.

Someday, they would be able to fix this ugly world.

76940176.png
A poet, a racer.

Standing tall in the sunlight, her long shadow stretching out behind her, Owari casts a focused look over the landscape sprawling out far into the distance. Her mind races, trying to put the scenery and the feelings it instills into words she can use to paint a picture to once again capture this moment.

Owari wants to travel to world. To see everything, to meet everyone. To that end, she runs. She flies faster than the wind.

Nothing to hold her back and everything calling her forward.

76591381.png Snowfall chocked back her tears, holding the feelings deep down.

She covered her ears, closed her eyes. No longer did she want to see the world, if it held something so cruel. If she was so helpless to everything.

It was as if she could feel everything, every dragon's pain all at once. And it was unbearable.

But don't worry, little one. There is a hero on his way to save you.

76611422.png Firefly flitted throughout the fluttering flowers.

Her heart stirred in the sunlight as she looked around at the meadow blooming with flowers.

Through the waving stems and falling petals she thought she could see ghosts of dragons who died here long ago.

After all, this field was once a battlefield. But all things return to beauty in the end.

76856566.png Aurus glides through the forest at night, a guiding light in the darkness for any lost dragon.

Aurus has lived his whole life in darkness. It was daytime when those strange dragons came and took away his siblings. So he became scared of the light.

Soon his sense of sight became weak, as he never used it. Partially blind, he has to use his sense of hearing and smell to navigate around. But, at night, this makes him the most excellent hunter.

76944225.png Bride strides out onto the streets, dressed in stunning white. A flutter of petals leaves a trail behind her as silver bells ring with every step.

Today was not a special day. Every day she would dress up like this and go about her business, meeting friends, buying things she needed. She was known through the town as the 'Graceful Goddess'.

If you see her it's as if time stops for a second. All sound fades out as you are captivated by her beauty, if only for a moment.

76646001.png It repeats again. The loneliness that presses down so much it gets hard to breathe.

Maur screwed his eyes shut, clasping his head and praying for it to go away.

It had been like this ever since he had been left alone. It wasn't my fault, it wasn't my fault, it wasn't my fault.

He had been searching for new companions for so long. But he was beginning to get tired.

But when the stories are told and over, she sits back staring at the lifeless toys and sits in the silence that is her home. Her siblings have been sent off to fight, but her mother insisted that she stay in the castle to avoid danger.

So Elyssa sits alone. And plays with her toys. Hoping that one day, she will be able to make one of her stories come true.

If one were to paint the stars in the night sky, Ichor would paint the spaces between. He shows the beauty in nothingness.

He was born on a night where there was no moon or stars in the sky. And he fell in love with that world.

76839759.png Inouye was born on a night when the stars fell from the sky. All around her bursts of light rained down, as dragons rushed out of their dens to see the marvelous sight.

Her parents think that this is why she looks like a night sky full of stars.

52000946.png Golden clasped the bleating lamb in his arms, carefully nursing it back to health. He couldn't bear to see animals in pain.

Golden was who dragons came to when their pets or livestock had a problem. Animals couldn't communicate as well as dragons so it was hard to know why they were in pain . But Golden found he could easily read them. An animal's feelings were put into sounds and actions more simply that a complex dragon, who may try to hide their true feeling for pride or other reasons.

Animals never lied. That is what Golden loved. He wanted to protect their innocence and make sure they never had to undergo any unnecessary pain. So he studied and trained for years, and now he does his best every day to ease their suffering.

76916687.png Kronos lowered her head in respect, as the king of that land annotated her shoulders with a light tap of his sword. Nervous, she accepted the knighting, but she was unsure if she deserved it.

She had only done what she though was right, when she had seen those hatchlings under attack. It was war time after all, and every dragon was doing all they could to protect their home land.

The words 'You did a great service to this country' washed over her as she glanced at the children she had saved. A smile danced across her lips. She remembered how she didn't risk her life for riches or praise. She did it to save innocent young lives.
