Further details regarding the meaning of each gene will be explored in our lore post. As well, Toxic Tenders seem to view certain eye-types as more favorable than others. [size=4][b]Ideal Eye Types:[b][/size] Bright, Common, Innocent, Uncommon Faceted aren't ideal, but they seem to be viewed as better than any of the unlisted types. No eye type is considered so unappealing as to lead to rejection, though.

With their leaf-like wings and plague-red eyes, it is difficult to tell where these little ones belong. They are natural gardeners and curious by nature, but they carry toxic spores within them that are just as capable of spreading plague as any other dragons born in their flight.[/columns] [size=5]Origins[/size] [indent]Toxic Tenders were first spotted around the Seedscar. At first it seemed like new plants were sprouting from the earth despite the best efforts of the plague magi standing constant vigil in the area. Toxic tenders were initially born from the constant mingling of plague and nature magic, their eggs forming under the ground like little seeds. Their thin, leaf-like wings are useless for flight. Instead, toxic spores grow on the underside of their wings. A threatened tender will vibrate their wings aggressively, creating a cloud of spores around them. Another of their quirks is the ability to photosynthesize. While they can't go indefinitely without food, their ability to draw nutrients from the sun's rays does allow them to go for much longer periods of time between meals than the average dragon. They make excellent gardeners and can help a seed thrive in even the most inhospitable of environments. As far as society goes, the roles they take on are influenced by what genes they have. Tenders with Bar and/or Daub usually take on a nurturing role in their community, whether that be tending to hatchlings, caring for the sick and injured, or caring for the local flora and fauna. A Toxic Tender with Freckle or Bee, on the other hand, is much more likely to become a guard or fighter for their clan, due to the higher concentration of toxic spores their wings constantly shed. Toxic Tenders with Leopard or Stripes don't seem to have a strong preference for nurture or strength, and as a result they are the most likely to become crafters or artisans. Toxic Tenders with Clown and Clouded often exist separate from their communities.
