[center]But where did this all begin?[/center] Why it began as many things do - with a dragon in search for a mate. Waretelomn was a watermelon gifted a body and life by the most powerful of dragon-kind to meet this horrible threat. With their power, rind became flesh and scales, fruit became muscle and bone, and juice became blood and marrow. Waretelomnwas created to be a noble, powerful warrior meant to help stop Beastclan from eating all the precious watermelons in the land! [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/71247609][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/712477/71247609_350.png[/img][/url][/center] Before his task could be given, however, he flew off into the sky. He had his sights set on something else first. He needed to secure his line by finding a fine watermelon to have a clutch of eggs with! Eventually he came across a red and green dragon and thought "my, but she must also be a watermelon given life! What great fortune!" Alas, she was more a cherry-tomato then melon, so he took to the sky once again, in search of his ideal melon partner, leaving the poor, tiny tomato all alone. (Ahem - said tomato is still looking for a handsome melon to have babies with - and yes, we know she is a tomato and not a melon, but she's a melon at heart!) [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/71837658][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/718377/71837658_350.png[/img][/url][/center] And so he searched far and wide until he came across the largest, firmest, juiciest watermelon in all the land (excluding himself, of course). He declared there and then to the heavens and any dragon who would listen, if which there were few: "This is my wife, with whom I shall have many strong and handsome hatchlings with!" Any one who pointed out he was declaring his love to a thing of fruit (albeit a perfectly good piece of fruit) was met by a terrible blast of radioactive melon juice! (*note - Waretelomn's breath attack is not radioactive. It is ordinary watermelon juice - cool, refreshing, organic, and very tasty!) His doubters successfully rebuked (and no longer thirsty) Waretelomn began gathering the materials needed to make the perfect nest so his mate would be able to lay their eggs in peace and he could guard them. They would be the first generation of watermelon dragons! ...Watermelons are not well known for their intelligence, and Waretelomn was still a melon in many regards. Thankfully, the Tidelord was not well known for his sense of humor, and quickly saw the problem to this noble warrior's ambitions. Thus, after he fell asleep after a long day building a fabulous nest for himself and his beautiful watermelon mate, he transformed the firm fruit into a lovely couatl like Waretelomn. When he awoke, he did not question the transformation, simply assuming that she had taken such form because of his pure magical charisma.
