Word has reached Sandia and Waretelomn that a threat is beginning to rise up, one even more sinister and dastardly than devouring all the Melons in the land (if such a thing is possible!) Prepare, fellow Melon warriors.
Something is haunting the watermelon farm.
One of the hatchlings saw it first - a shadow that was perched on a distant hill, apparently looking into the farm, watching the movement of the guards, marking the locations of the hatchery, the lairs...
Then, a few weeks later, one of the guards noticed a winged creatures hovering high in the air above the farm. He went to go confront the figure, but it quickly fled before he could catch them.
It would seem that something is observing the activity at the farm, possibly spying on our melons! What could it be? Perhaps only time will tell.
"All Hallow's Eve, a wonderous sight,
Full of candy treats and spooky delight.
Yet one must not forget that this holiday,
Is when evil, dark things come out to play."
It is a beautiful day on the melon farm. Everyone's wonderful melons are dressing up or baking sweets or telling spooky tales to one another. It looks to be a fun filled first Halloween on the farm.
Yet, the games and snacks are interrupted by the sound of pained growls and the unsteady flapping of tattered wings. Gazing up into the sky, you behold, to your horror, the sight of Wassermelone flying unsteadily back towards the farm. Melon juice flows from multiple wounds all across his body, and he more collapses than lands in the field. His mate, Shalqi, and his children rush to his side along with Waretelomn and Sandia. It is a near thing ... but it appears that he will survive his injuries.
It isn't until after he has been moved that a note is discovered, soaked in melon juice. Written on it in purple ink is the following:
"You thought us gone, thought us forgotten and lost.
We are not.
We have not forgotten, will not forget, will not forgive.
This is but the beginning of our revenge upon you and yours. Prepare if you will, or not. It does not matter. The Hollow One shall feast upon you melons, scale and rind, flesh and fruit, juice and blood, and we shall watch and laugh.
We have not forgotten...
We will never forget..."
And at the bottom of the note ... is a symbol.
Waretelomn and Sandía's hard work and dedication to their watermelon cause has paid off. The watermelon farms are flourishing with healthy green vines and plump vibrant fruit - they even have grandmelons now! Things are certainly safe enough for the two of them to go away on a romantic melon honeymoon. Right?
Right.
But not everyone has the special connection they desire and Vendremnel is still looking for a ripe male melon who wouldn't mind having a cherry tomato for a-
...
Odd, where did she go? Oh well, she's probably hiding among the watermelons again. I'm sure that she will ... show ...
What is that!?
He arrives, quiet as a shadow and twice as menacing. The span of his wings is as great as any imperial, and his long, thick body would make even a spiral curl into a spring and bounce away in fear. Sunlight glistens off chitin plate mail that has the gloss of fresh armor. His eyes burn in the shadow of his helmet, and despite the great weight of the armor on his body, he hovers with ease above the watermelon farm.
He turns his head from side to side, eyes narrowed, seemingly searching for ... something. He gives an irritable lash of his wings and tail, his tongue darting out as he gives a hiss of frustration.
"The Hallow One's shadow, where are they? Where are the progenitors of your creed and sect?" He waits for an answer for only a moment before he hisses with irritation again, the lash of his tail leaving a deep, wide furrow in the ground below. "So, they have already departed, no doubt to lay more accursed watermelon eggs. No matter." He lifts his head tauntingly, his tongue darting out once again. "My name is Yesult. I come here and now to lay waste to land and melon at the behest of my master." His eyes narrow to slits. "Yet ... I am not without mercy. One of you, step forth and challenge me! I wish to prove here and now that your lineage is worthless, your warriors weak. Perhaps then some of you will choose to depart rather than face the mincer or the juicer." He flaps his wings again. "Come, one of you so called watermelons. Step forth and discover what strength truly is."
He lands on he ground with a powerful blast of air the sends dust and dirt flying in a perfect ring around him, creating an enormous battle ring. He lifts himself onto his hind legs, flapping his wings, his long tongue continuing to scent the air as his eyes pass from one melon to the next.
It appears that this adversary awaits a brave, fierce volunteer to step forward and challenge him! Which melon will face this terrifying foe?
Before we go any further, a quick disclaimer from our founders.

No melons were, have, or will be harmed in the making of this adventure any and all references to juicers, mincers, or fruit ninjas are references only to props on the set the only watermelon juice that will be made or drunk during the course of this event will be Waretelomn's so named "Radioactive Watermelon Breath" which is just normal watermelon juice viewers of the age of tomato, be it grape or grapefruit, are cautioned that this adventure is rated "A" for awesome because of references to the dark occult, certain suggestive themes and images (that is to say, suggestions for certain themes and images) and rough housing.

From the depths of their homes, the melons warriors step forth to defend the watermelon gardens from this new threat.
Yesult hisses with amusement as five melons step forth.
"My, to think there were so many who would brave their demise." He flaps his wings, causing more dust to rise into the air. "I have no qualms, fighting all of you. However, I would feel remorse to leave so many of your fellows without entertainment." He flashes his teeth. "Thankfully, Beastclan provides."
There is a defeaning screech as several horrid, winged creatures descend from the sky. Tatterwing Carcasses! A dozen of them!
"Let's begin." Yesult growls before surging forward with a mighty flapping of wings, his body rippling with the momentum to propel him towards his opponents.
It does not take long for the watermelon farm to turn into a battlefield.
In every direction, melons can be seen fighting the waves of Beastclan monsters that continue to descend from the sky, desperate to reach the precious watermelons!
And in the center of it all, five melons battle against the coatl Yesult.
His power is *incredible* Despite being outnumbered, he holds his ground, tearing scales and drawing blood with tooth and talon. His armor, however, is slowly worn down, his endurance falters. It seems only a matter of time before he-
His wounds ... They're *healing* A horrid black power can be seen coursing all around him, protecting his body like a shroud! He can fight *and* use magic?
No, that's impossible ... which means ...
Hovering high above the battlefield, another figure can be seen. She is smaller than Yesult with the refined arches and curves of a dragon that has never needed to exert herself in physical combat. Yet, her body is illuminated by powerful magic, dark magic that is fueling the warrior below her, driving him to greater heights of viciousness.
And burning on her flank ... is the symbol of the Forsaken Fruit
"Enough, Yesult." The couatl commands in an ominous hiss. "Our point has been made." Another wave of dark magic briefly illuminates her body as a series of veins of glowing light coursing across her body. Yesult's wounds mend and he withdraws slowly, glaring ruefully at his three opponents.
"I am Antariance, one of the Forsaken Fruit." She says as Yesult rises to hover next to her. "Your lineage is a profane disgrace to dragon-kind. My sisters and I will see each and every melon dead and consumed by the infinite waves of Beastclan that has been entrusted to us by our master. This is your only chance to save your existence. Leave. Leave and take your Offspring with you. Any who remain will be destroyed. Forsake your oath to repopulate the melons, and you will be spared. More, if you aid us in destroying those foolish enough to resist, you will be greatly rewarded. You will be given time to decide."
The clouds overhead begin to slowly turn and swirl, drawn down towards the two of them, consuming them. When the clouds disperse, they are gone, leaving the bodies of the Beastclan behind.
Melons!
You have survived your first trial against the Beastclan menace! It would seem they are stronger than we could have expected. This is not the last we will see of them, surely. All we can do is prepare to defend our precious watermelon farm!
