Marks him as a respected member of the Council, but also anoints him as guardian of the TBA. He is rarely seen outside of mandatory meetings, but his protégé Seraph loyally lends his eyes and ears to report any and all happenings-- regardless of whether they can agree or not on what actions to take. [b]The Soothsayer[/b] [item=forgotten poet's tools] Not much is known about the Soothsayer, but [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70112878][b][u]Andradite[/u][/b][/url] is the only known Statue with the qualifications that anoint him this title. As such, the Soothsayer's role is to perceive visions and record them; this and dedicating his time as Abeline's advising mate leaves him an enigmatic even amongst the clans of the Aven. Few have seen his scrolls, and even fewer have shared what they've witnessed: Things set in stone, things that are here and now, and some things that have not yet come to pass. [b]Alchemist[/b] [item=potted deepmine fungi] It is curious to find such a title belonging to [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70347424][b][u]Rhodea[/u][/b][/url] despite apothecaries already being renowned physicians, but perhaps Abeline permitted such a role to exist in order to entertain their daughter. Regardless, the majority of the Alchemist's role is more specific than an apothecary; they study, take notes, and experiment, yes, but Rhodea's work is focused less on the natural powers of plants and more on their... magickal potential. [b]Apothecaries[/b] [item=potted peacevine] While apothecaries most notably originate from the Abandoned Aven, there are non-Sentries who are experienced and/or fortunate enough to know their way around the trade as well, be it through curiosity, or a friendly Sentry who was willing to trade a few tips and tricks. Apothecaries are familiar with whatever organic plantlife or similar thrives in their clan, and are able to utilize them for better or worse. [b]Convergers[/b] [item=weathered grimoire] Convergers— be it orally, through song, or dance— are responsible for maintaining the stories of old by retelling the ancient tales. Knowledge in general is their greatest treasure, but one they are eager to share with others. However, they only share their written down creations with their apprentice, so that if/when their time comes, they may carry on their legacy— and in turn the Statues' livelihoods. They also revere the Soothsayer's scrolls; to gain an audience with him and read his private, ancient writings was a huge honour amongst Convergers. Even so, when Sornieth uncovered Statues and invited them into their clans, Convergers were one of the most eager of dragons to explore the newly opened world and venture beneath the heavens, where bright glittering stars had stories of their own to tell. [b]Juveniles/Hatchlings[/b] [item=unhatched earth egg] Statues under the age of 1 month by Sornieth's measured terms are deemed youths. They are not yet assigned to official roles, and may help out in all that they can, or specific kinds of specialties depending on their upbringing. [color=grey][i]Special Possessions[/i][/color] [b]The Mark of the First[/b] [item=gold amulet of alchemy] A special necklace made to distinguish and honour Awakeners. Most are long gone or missing by now though, making it a very valuable trophy of sorts. [b]Verdure of Nurturance and Knowledge[/b] [item=leafy gladeboughs] [item=flowering gladeboughs] When a Sentry has lived long enough inside the Aven, branches begin to grow off of them. It's a good way to tell fully-grown and experienced Sentries from adolescents (unless the Sentry trims free of the gnarly branches regularly, or some other sort of complication) [b]Third Age Scroll[/b] [item=historical text] One of the Soothsayer's prized scrolls; he would not have parted from one of these without good reason. The characters are written in some kind of ancient draconic from the Third Age, a forgotten language with few who remain able to read it, let alone speak it. The language itself sounds harsh and grating when given voice, like rocks colliding against one another during an Earthshake. If you're not sure whether your dragon qualifies or not for registering, just ask! As long as you can BS a reason for the colour(s) working (ie. pink granite for pink Sentries), then that's all that's really required. [b]« What's an Awakener?[/b] Lore-wise, the term Awakener/Awakening harkens to the first of Earthshaker's statues, who were created directly from his magic. Awakener is a very respected title, a dragon who awoke from the Great Sleep as Earthshaker's thunderous roar brought them to life... Meta-wise though? It's just a fancy and incredibly rare title you can add onto your G1 Statue if it's old enough (7 digits or less), or was born on the exact same day obelisks were released (June 16, 2021). The G2 offspring of Awakeners are called Descendants. [b]« What's the difference between Hybrids and Deviants?[/b] Deviants are typically Hybrids who have been given special recognition for achieving level 10 and up.
