With this necessity and the use of magic came the Enfields: fox-like dragon spirits with varying amounts of feathers adorning their forms, as well as arms that are replaced with those of a bird. Nowadays, formations of Emperors have become a rare occurrence, with the only few incidents being due to a careless lack of Enfields in Imperial graves or individuals deliberately bringing Imperial corpses together(often after killing any present Enfields). Enfields are typically notably larger in comparison to Skydancers and Coatls respectively, though sizes may vary from individual to individual. These spirits were created with the purpose to guard the graves of dead Imperials, warning individuals to avoid particular areas when the burial of an Imperial is necessary, or protecting already buried Imperials from individuals who seek to desecrate their graves. With this, it should be noted that a majority of Enfields are naturally gifted with incredible amounts of magic strength. These Enfields are also often adept at using this magic power in combat. The combination of their power and their ghost-like forms make them difficult opponents to kill by typical means, though spells meant to dispel particularly powerful spirits often do the trick. Once successfully summoned, Enfields do seem to be capable of producing offspring, though only with other spirits. Enfields do not occur naturally after a dragon dies or is buried. They must be manually summoned into the world to serve their purpose. However, the spell to summon an Enfield is not all too difficult for adept spell casters, typically only requiring an incantation and an item that relates to what the Enfield must guard. Such as a bone for Gravewatcher Enfields. It is evident that BeastClan mages are also capable of casting the spell necessary to summon an Enfield and these Enfields do serve the BeastClans willingly. Over time, curious dragons began to summon Enfields with other items, creating new variants that would guard various other subjects and locations, such as hoards and prisons. Some Enfield variants are also summoned to guard entire lairs, pathways, or even living creatures. Sorry about the feather badges looking a bit funky right now, with alignment. I don’t know how to make things align to the top of a column, if that’s even possible.
Base Lore
After the formation of the first Emperor, mortal dragons and deities alike quickly concluded that a method, to prevent such a disaster from occuring again, was necessary for Sorneith’s survival.

Tl;dr: Fox-like dragon spirits with feathers adorning their bodies, originally summoned to guard the graves of Imperials to avoid the creation of more Emperors. Overtime, Enfields would be summoned for guarding other things, such as hoards, living beings, and even entire territories.

These Enfields get their name from how they often help visitors through their guarded territories, if those visitors appear to be lost. However, if an Enfield believes an individual may be a danger to their territory, they will intentionally lead them into becoming lost, usually outside of the territory. Because of this factor, Lesser Pathfinders are more popular than their Greater versions, due to their ability to sense emotions and magical energies. They can usually distinguish potentially harmful individuals from harmless ones. Pathfinders are summoned with natural items, such as sticks, that can be found within the area that one wants the Enfield to guard. The item used cannot contain any seeds, otherwise the resulting Enfield will be a Ranger rather than a Pathfinder. Genes, Colors, and Elements: Pathfinder Enfields are the second most diverse when it comes to colors, and don’t seem to come in any specific ranges of colors. However, it is noted that their colors and even elements appear to be based on the element their surroundings is imbued with. A Pathfinder Enfield summoned in a Plague lair tends to come in various shades of red and have Plague magic, while one summoned in Shadow may be in shades of purple and have Shadow magic. Therefore, in order for a Skydancer or Coatl to be registered as a Pathfinder Enfield, they must have a monochromatic/analogous color palette based on one of the eleven elements, and their eyes must match the element they resemble. Any gene may be used, however it is recommended to avoid genes with secondary colors(like the yellow in Lapis) that will not fit into the theme. {A Ranger themed after an Eyeliner Lily} Rangers The Rangers are a variant of Enfields that guard gardens of any sort and size. These Enfields are often summoned to defend gardens that specifically contain rare or important plants and medical herbs. Because they are often summoned to guard herbs, it’s not uncommon for Rangers to work alongside healers that use herbs in their remedies. In fact, Rangers commonly have notable proficiency with traditional and magical healing in various fields. Rangers are summoned with seeds or items containing seeds, such as flowers. The used item must specifically be/contain seeds, otherwise the resulting Enfield will be a Pathfinder rather than a Ranger. Genes, Colors, and Elements: Ranger Enfields are now the most diverse when it comes to colors and genes, as they don’t appear to have any specific color ranges. Unlike the Pathfinders who are strictly monochromatic/analogous, Rangers appear to resemble the plant that would grow from the seed used to summon them. For example, if a cherry blossom was used to summon a Ranger, the Ranger's appearance may remind one of a sakura tree. Note: When registering a Ranger, you MUST also provide a photograph image of the plant that the Ranger is based off of. If the plant used is exclusively from Flight Rising, then the item icon of the plant must be sent. Plants that do not exist in real life nor in the Flight Rising world may not be used. Entourages The Entourages are a variant of Enfields that guard groups of, or just individual, living creatures. These Enfields often guard very important beings, such as leaders or groups of ambassadors, or rarely even Deities. They appear to have pale-colored primaries, then rich, vibrant secondaries and tertiaries, which gives them a somewhat royal look. It’s not uncommon for Entourage Enfields to have an XYY pattern, or for their eyes to be similar in color to their secondary and/or tertiary. Entourages can be summoned using the personal item(s) of whoever the Enfield must guard. Unlike with the process of summoning other Enfield variants, the items used do not disappear while the Enfield is being formed. Primary Genes: Clouded, Falcon, Flaunt, Jupiter, Iridescent, Metallic, Petals, Savannah, Starmap, Ribbon, Tapir Secondary Genes: Alloy, Butterfly, Constellation, Eel, Facet, Flare, Striation Tertiary Genes: Capsule, Contour, Filigree, Glimmer, Glowtail, Koi, Lace, Ringlets, Runes, Veined, Bane Primary Genes: Falcon, Jupiter, Marble, Metallic, Petals, Savannah, Tapir Bane Secondary Genes: Alloy, Arrow, Butterfly, Striation, Sugarplum, Tear Bane Tertiary Genes: Capsule, Contour, Filigree, Lace, Plumage, Ringlets, Runes, Trimmings Primary Colors: Cream, White, Ice, Mist, Sky, Robin, Pistachio, Peridot, Pearl Secondary Colors: Orchid-Grape, Sapphire-Blue, Spearmint-Shamrock, Lemon-Banana, Saffron, Carrot, Tarnish-Red, Magenta-Mauve Tertiary Colors: Orchid-Grape, Sapphire-Blue, Spearmint-Shamrock, Lemon-Banana, Saffron, Carrot, Tarnish-Red, Magenta-Mauve Elements: Any(Recommended to match secondary/tertiary) Fallens The Fallens are failed or corrupted Enfields, which do not guard anything. Because they somehow lack a purpose, these Enfields are mindless and hostile towards all living creatures. They are considered major threats, due to this aggression and how difficult it is to kill them. So it is often recommended to have other mages present when casting the spell to summon an Enfield, just in case. As for their colors, they often appear as ugly or sometimes eye-burning, and often don’t match. This goes for their eyes as well. They Fallens can occur due to one of the following reasons: an Enfield fails their purpose without facing death, an Enfield becomes tainted with The Shade, or the summoning spell is performed incorrectly. Primary Genes: Crystal, Fade, Flaunt, Iridescent, Jaguar, Lionfish, Mosaic, Petals, Pinstripe, Poison, Ribbon, Skink, Slime, Swirl, Tapir, Secondary Genes: Blend, Breakup, Butterfly, Eel, Facet, Flare, Noxtide, Marble, Rosette, Shimmer, Sludge, Spinner, Toxin, Striation, Trail Tertiary Genes: Capsule, Circuit, Contour, Crackle, Filigree, Gembond, Ghost, Glimmer, Glowtail, Keel, Koi, Lace, Okapi, Opal, Peacock, Ringlets, Runes, Smirch, Smoke, Spines, Thylacine, Veined Bane Primary Genes: Chevron, Fade, Jaguar, Pinstripe, Poison, Ragged, Skink, Tapir, Bane Secondary Genes: Arrow, Blend, Butterfly, Rosette, Spinner, Tear, Toxin, Striation, Trail Bane Tertiary Genes: Capsule, Contour, Crackle, Filigree,Ghost, Koi, Lace, Plumage, Porcupine, Ringlets, Skeletal, Squiggle, Trimmings, Wraith Colors and Elements: Any bright, eye-burning color combinations that are uncomfortable to stare at. So while you have more freedom with this variant, they are still far more limited than the Pathfinders and Rangers. They can also still resemble the variant they used to/were supposed to be, with some strikingly off colors. The intention of this is to give that feeling that something is wrong with these Enfields, or to just give them that ugly look. Colors with strong secondary colors are highly recommended. If the case is that the Enfield is Shade-Touched, a dark-colored tertiary is allowed. Should this be the case, one must specify in the Enfield’s bio that they have become Shade-touched.

Treasurers
The Treasurers are a variant of Enfields that guard the Hoards and Vaults of the lairs they are summoned to serve. They either come in shiny yellows or bright blues, depending on whichever currency is used to summon the particular Enfield. Though no matter what genes they appear with, their feathers always have a lovely sheen to them. Boastful lairs may intentionally summon Greater Treasurer Enfields and show them off to display their wealth. Treasurers are summoned with some amount of treasure(results in a yellow treasurer) or gems(results in a blue treasurer).

Wardens
The Wardens are a variant of Enfields that guard prisons of any sort. Their behavior can be compared to that of Gaolers to an extent, except they lack orders and work to contain what is already present within a prison. They often do serve Gaolers, however. They come in various dark colors, which allow them to blend in more with their often dark and dimly lit surroundings. Wardens are summoned with chains, leashes, and other containment-related items.

Pathfinders
The Pathfinders are a variant of Enfields that guard Lairs and other large areas.

Rangers
The Rangers are a variant of Enfields that guard gardens of any sort and size.

Entourages
The Entourages are a variant of Enfields that guard groups of, or just individual, living creatures.

Fallens
The Fallens are failed or corrupted Enfields, which do not guard anything.
Primary Genes: Crystal, Fade, Flaunt, Iridescent, Jaguar, Lionfish, Mosaic, Petals, Pinstripe, Poison, Ribbon, Skink, Slime, Swirl, Tapir,

Colors and Elements: Any bright, eye-burning color combinations that are uncomfortable to stare at.
