ORIGINS
In Ancient times, Bogdogs belonged to the Seeker Order of Gaoler clans, tasked with seeking out the Shade across Sornieth. Seekers always had trouble navigating bogs and mires with their thick fur and gnarled horns so the Icewarden granted the Bogdogs fans and their muted coloration specifically so they could traverse the swampy realms with ease. When the Seeker Order was disbanded the Icewarden froze the Bogdogs and they sunk deep into the swamps and mires they patrolled.
Nearly all of dragonkind tell tales by the firelight about dragons that are half wolf, half swamp monsters. Parents use tales of Bogdogs to warn unruly hatchlings about the perils of bogs and mires.
REEMERGENCE
In modern day Sornieth the Seeker Clan has been reinstated and the strong magic that kept Bogdogs frozen has broken and now Bogdogs are waking. They rise as filthy muck covered mountains from the deltas and bogs in which they spent their frozen slumbers.
Bogdogs honor the Icewarden and their duty by continuing to seek the Shade across the realms. Their long icy slumber has granted them new abilities: most Bogdogs can see future possibilities and some events of the past by scrying with their shed antlers. While it is tradition for most Gaolers to bury their shed antlers, Bogdogs carry theirs in a pack that hangs beneath their wings. Bogdogs with Multigaze can see into the future and the past with the eyes that line their bodies. This can be disorienting, so Multigaze Bogdogs often groom their thick furs to hide their eyes in order to be more present in every day life.
Lurching Tome
Trinkets
There's something strange about this book. If only you could put a talon on it...
53
Barkback Root
Organics
When planted, these roots produce fast-growing, if curiously aware trees.
42
Arroyo Toad
Meat
Most dragons have developed an immunity to this toad's poisonous skin, but mirrors may suffer an allergic reaction.
61
6
Icewarden Ice Sculpture
Trinkets
A fragile ice carving designed to look like the Icewarden. It holds an aura of spine-tingling cold about it.
105
Raw Jade
Minerals & Ores
Though ornaments made from jade are expensive in Sornieth's economy, the raw form of this particular stone is in heavy abundance in the rivers that run through the Windswept Plateau.
100
Redwood Log
Organics
A colossal branch of redwood, one of the sturdiest organic materials in the world.

Iris
Plant
This wasn't the kind of iris that your gardener was expecting.
43
5
Dusk Aconite
Plant
An unremarkable plant by day. These pale flowers blossom under the light of the full moon and reflect its glow, turning the delta into a starlit sandscape.

Bulrush
Plant
When not consumed, bulrushes are popular for crafting woven baskets and wreaths. When consumed, they're best boiled or steamed to soften their thick exterior.
