They groan and roll their eyes at him. Smile tucked behind his beard, he scratches at some lose scales with one claw. "Hatchlings, what do you get when you make a belt out of wristwatches?" More than one hatchling gets up to leave. "A complete waist of time!"

This is Ambrose. He is the dragonsona of an original character of mine from a medieval fantasy work I am currently reinventing. Ambrose is a nobleman plagued with uncontrollable visions of the future. They are a manifestation of the remains of the power of a dead deity he has been cursed with. Nevertheless, he uses these visions as inspiraton for inventions that he uses to cope with the horrors of what he has seen. These visions also make him a wise, empathetic and gentle-hearted individual who strives to help make the world a better place than what he sees it to be. In the same vein, Ambrose does what he can to help anybody who is suffering, acting as a mentor and a parental figure to those who need it. He is a good person who, in my eventual novel series, I have a lot of plans for. For god-like powers eventually attract the attention of the gods themselves...
