Black Hounds are life forms who look like Veilspun, but are actually menacing, vicious creatures. They emerged from the Seedscar and developed strong survival skills. Tame Hounds are rare and only trained by the skilled. These Hound-Tamers are called 'Callers'. Callers get high respect in Clans and are very powerful. A Caller with a Hound is not to be tampered with. There is the chance that a Caller may be killed by a Hound, but that chance is small, for Callers have protection and are typically large.
