Zephyr Chimes are an ancient species. Legend has it that they originated from the Windsinger’s laugh, when he was making other dragons. Blessed by the Windsinger Himself, these dragons are said to carry the memory of his laugh with them.
Zephyr Chimes are named after the tinkling sound their wings make when they fly. Although rarely seen outside the Windswept Plateau, these dragons are said to be good luck to those who manage to hear their bell-like ring.

Personality
Zephyr chimes are elusive and shy, rarely seen even in their native Zephyr Steppes. They love to sing, dance and play, and their singing is likened to the whistle of the wind. Their dances are accompanied by their whistling singing and the bell-like chime of their wings.
Society
Zephyr Chimes form tight-knit clans, headed by the oldest member. When a new dragon is born, they may choose to either remain in their birth clan or branch off to form family groups.
Although traditionally Skydancers and Spirals, they have intermingled with other dragon species over the years, and now are found in all modern breeds.
Habitat
Zephyr Chimes’ natural green hides blend in with the reeds of their homes. The sound of their wings are often covered up by the whistling of the wind through the reeds and bamboo stalks. Although their markings can come in any color, they tend to reflect the sunlight, much like water, which helps camouflage their individual colors.

Glass Chimes
Glass Chimes are more shy than even Zephyr Chimes, and are rarely seen by even others of their species. Unlike the other variations, they are silent flyers. Sun beams create beautiful patterns when it shines through their wings.
