He is in charge of all defense for the clan, both against other dragons and against the Beastclans. His clan is not an aggressive one, and rarely seeks to expand their borders, so any warfare is mostly defense-related rather than an act of conquest. As a leader, he primarily focuses on stealth, skill, and strength over fancy and agile moves or magic. For him, a silent but impenetrable blockade is the key to protecting the clan.

Though he is new, he came with high recommendation from a trusted associate of Defreda's from his previous clan (for, in my lore, both my progens wandered in from other clans to start this one). Thus, Bentuli acquired the position as head of the night watch -- much to the dismay of some native guardsdragons. There isn't enough unrest to cause a problem... yet. Defreda and Horoine are both keeping an eye on the situation as it unfolds.

Ater is the gatekeeper of the ancestral home of the clan's founding organisation, the Frostguard. It takes a particular kind of dragon to defend the dark tunnels that lead below the mountain, but the lack of light does not phase him; rather it evens the playing field. As Ater is blind, the tunnels are no different to him from the well-lit halls beyond the gate. He uses his keen sense of smell to sniff out intruders, and disorients them with bright flashes of light. Once his foes are off-balance he will move in to grapple them with claws both his own and other. Many assume he's alone in the dark. No, he's made [i]many[/i] friends.
Ater knows the mimic threat well from his long lifetime of duty. Every year he fends off the creatures that come out during the Night of the Nocturne, though he is never foolish enough to underestimate them. Their continuous adaptation makes them formidible foes; perfect to keep his skills sharp.
