Although they cannot breathe underwater, they can hold their breath for an extended amount of time. This allows them to stay beneath the water's surface in order to hunt for fish or water-loving mammals such as seals. They can come in a variety of colors, but typically consist of 2-3 bright contrasting colors which help them blend into the colorful coral reefs to hunt. They nest in nearby ocean-side cliffs and live in small groups of mated pairs. Those born without fans or whose fans get damaged end up moving further inland and give up the semi-aquatic lifestyle. [size=4][b]Color Examples[/b][/size] This subspecies can come in a wide variety of colors. Typically they have at least one blue-range color to blend into the waves, but it's not a requirement.
