Here's sapphireshimmer, my first dragon! maybe i should have chosen to be an arcane clan, because i clearly can't get enough of the celestial style! It's just so pretty, especially to a space nerd like myself!
But alas, if i had chosen arcane, her eyes would not be the colour of sapphires, and her name would not be so fitting. Plus, sapphire is my favourite colour, so i kinda wanted all my dragons to be born with that eye colour anyway.[url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/45025506][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/450256/45025506_350.png[/img][/url]
This is sapphireshimmer's first-born daughter, seiryu! I've loved her colours ever since she was born, but couldn't tell you why at first; now i know it's because opposites attract! the blue and gold contrast so nicely, like the sun and the moon.
Did you know that seiryu is the japanese name for the azure dragon, one of four major chinese constellations? And that said dragon has the element of water? And finally, my pretty in pink imperial, suzaku! His name is very similar to seiryu's, being the japanese name for the vermillion bird, also one of four major chinese constellations, though perhaps it's not as fitting a name for him as it is seiryu, as the vermillion bird's element is fire, and his is nature.
Plus, he's not a bird, he's just really red and dressed up in plenty of pink arcane-themed apparel, but his mate is a skydancer, sooo, close enough, right? And their familiars are both harpies, too!
