She's a skeleton pirate captain who was once human, but she was tricked into boarding a strange captain's ship and ended up dying of being over worked and scurvy. The gruesome captain that tricked her cut off her left leg as a souvenir and left her to rot in a dingy.
(I'm still working on her lore so it might change just a little))
