His disappearance absolutely devastated her, and she spends most of her time obsessively scrying for his location. However, since her method of scrying relies on divine inspiration, her foresight has been severely curtailed, adding to her distress. Her only source of solace is her collection of Tidelord prophecies, recaptured in bubbles, which help reassure her that he will see them through this trial. Though she is undoubtedly powerful, she has a reputation in the clan for being vindictive and spiteful, and for casting spells on others for no other reason than wanting to exercise her powers. The truth is a little more complicated: often, her magic is meant to help whoever they're cast on, but she never asks for permission, and her spells seldom work as intended. While those who have been cursed by her don't really see themselves as any worse off, the rest of the clan tends to steer clear of Circe, and she has done nothing to discourage her reputation, finding that being feared is another kind of power she can employ... and enjoy. Born during the festival to the Fallen Sky and the Mother of Ghosts, he has an interesting pedigree and is sure to have an interesting future ahead of him. But for now, still young and untested, he is serving as an acolyte maintaining the Tidelord's prophecies (under Nerida's careful guidance) while trying to decide what path he wants to pursue.

Grotto was quite happy to facilitate this belief by letting people come to her pond and was happy that her pond was responsible for others finding true love. But, what she and they didn't know was that the pond was a window into another dimension, something Grotto didn't realise until the 'reflection' in the pond spoke to her. Although she was startled at first, Grotto and the other dragon, called Dragonfly, started talking and built up a relationship. But then things got serious and now both of them have to cope with the fact that they are stuck in different dimensions and can't do things other couples do. They are trying to make the best of it, but sometimes the frustration comes out when they're talking to each other. No one has ever seen it, but there are legends of a mysterious, beautiful mermaid guardian who protects it. Some even say that there is no pearl and that the mermaid is the pearl. This is technically true, because Eyris' spirit is bound to the pearl. She was the first person to find the pearl, while diving. The pearl, fearful of more people finding it, absorbed her into itself, making sure she could never leave and tell anyone of its whereabouts. Because of this, she doesn't have the best relationship with the pearl, but as a pearl enthusiast she feels duty-bound to protect it anyway. Her job is to maintain and defend the forest against anyone who would damage or destroy it, but because of her issues with people in the past lying about their intentions, anyone means everyone. She will act aggressive towards anyone who enters the forest, regardless of their intentions, because she no longer trusts anyone. Even if they plead their case, she won't listen because she thinks everyone is lying to her, and she will attack or threaten them until they leave. She's not a bad person deep down. She just got taken advantage of in the past because of her inability to tell if someone is lying or not, and now she's developed an overreactive defense mechanism to make up for it.
