Hello All! I kinda got forced into Flight Rising by my friend and wasn't expecting myself to really play it all that much, but the inner child of me went off when I saw Coatl dragons, specifically one that was gifted to me. When I saw it I knew they were going to be my specialties. I decided I would name them after Aztec gods/myths/calendar/astronomy. I chose Aztec because everyone else does Greek/Roman and its annoying Coatls are based off of Aztec dragons. Coatl is one of the common suffixes for Aztec gods as well. I'm not sure if I will turn this into a 'guild' or not. But for now I will post my Coatls that are part of my Coatl Pantheon.
Some tidbits in the lore as I kinda wrote this on a whim. They are not actual 'gods' more royals in training. Every other generation the strongest children are sent to a specially crafted nursery where they are raised, looked after, and trained for a war for the throne. The winner rules for his or her entire life and often the other participants become soldiers or royals of their own. The current nursery is run by Teneoinan who lets almost everyone in who can pay. The land they live in was in constant war during the previous monarchs reign due to a large drought. There are 3 main areas of the country: the Overworld, where the royals normally preside, the Commons, where the nursery is located and where 95% of the population presides, and the Underworld, which is more of an underground crime syndicate than anything. The Underworld once allied with enemies of the land in conquest but failed. The previous monarch died young due to a severe plague that swept the land after the drought had subsided. Now the land without a leader is susceptible to conquest so the throne war must happen fast before other lands take over. Luckily, the underworld leaders are too weak to take on the Overworld armies due to many leaving their ranks after the war, but that won't stop them from trying. I may write more to this as time passes.
Ehecatl was my first Coatl and the one that made me love this breed. She is named after the god of wind and storms, and is one of the Aztec zodiac signs. Ehecatl is one of the main gods, but she is rather young and hasn't quite figured out her powers yet. She is a trouble maker and likes to hang out with Huitzil and Tepozte, causing trouble all around the land. Ehecatl is one of the promised ones that will eventually fight for the throne of the Pantheon if she so desires. Her future mate is Tepozte who has a huge crush on her.
Tepozte has a desire to be on the throne and trains to get there one day, though he hopes he can do so with Ehecatl at his side. Despite his serious, stoic nature, he is rather childish when around Ehecatl, acting almost as childish as Ehecatl and Huitzil.
Huitzil is the strongest of his generation, pure talent, but he has no desire to rule anything. He and Ehecatl constantly cause trouble for all the other dragons around. Huitzil and Ehecatl have a slight rivalry when it comes to pranks, consistently pranking each other or others. Tepozte sees Huitzil as a slight rival due to his talent and friendship with Ehecatl.
Oxomoco, along with Teneoinan watches over all the hatchlings until they mature. Oxomoco has a 'stuck-up better than thou' personality but has a massive crush on Huitzil that he doesn't seem to notice. She idolizes Teneoinan, and wishes she would run for the throne.
Teneoinan is the de facto mother of the current group. She is the oldest and wisest of the Coatls. She was once a model who traveled all over the lands on diplomatic missions and was asked to spy time-to-time on rebels or enemies. But after contracting a disease the turned her wings to coal she was ashamed and ran away from her post and became a nursing mother for the next generation. Along with Xochique and Iztac, and to lesser extent Oxomoco, work to take care of the hatchlings. Teneoinan was named the leader of the nurses. As well as a trainer to help the younglings learn to use their powers.
Xochique was once one of the leading members of the crown, the niece of the former monarch. But due to a forbidden love with Tezca, one of the underworld leaders, she was forced to leave her position. Eventually, her outcast was forgotten and she signed up to foster the next generation. Some who remember think Tezca has corrupted her and that she will turn the hatchlings into underworld members. However, Teneoinan looks past the rumors and trusts her fully.
Tezca, the Black Rose, as he was called during the 5th War of the Dragons. This once proud warrior was among the leaders of the underworld until he fell for Xochique, just as she was outcasted, so was he. Both now live on the mainlands looking after the young ones, though Tezca prefers to be isolated and tends to the crops and occasionally goes on missions with Tlaltecuhtli to gather funds for the Pantheon.
One cannot speak of Popo without also talking about Iztac. This pair is a legendary pair, their love is so powerful the mountains near the capital were named after them. Popo and Iztac both fought in the war and shelter some hate towards Tezca and Xochique, as Iztac and Xochique are cousins. Both help the hatchlings, with Iztac raising them and Popo training them to control their powers along with Teneoinan.
Ollin is the only orphan among the growing Pantheon. No one knows how he appeared, his powers appear to be otherworldly and may become a rival for Huitzil, Ehecatl, and Tepozte once he grows a bit more. Ollin can control and read the stars and is surprisingly strong despite being so small. He is quiet but perceptive, and in sparring matches is known to read his opponents attacks before they make them. Quite the mysterious dragon.
Nanahuatzin is the 4th in his clan to carry the name. His forefathers were all warriors and scholars who would sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the society. Nanahuatzin IV is slightly rebellious and may enter the battle for the throne, being the first of his clan to do so. He feels the duty to sacrifice himself but doesn't see the need as the current land is in the longest era of peace it has ever seen. Nanahuatzin has an on-and-off relationship with Xolotl, despite knowing who she truly is.
Xolotl is the fallen daughter of the previous monarch, once thought to be lost, appeared hundreds of years later to prepare for the throne war. Teneoinan accepted her as one of the younglings despite sensing evil intents. In truth Xolotl spent her youth in the underworld and was tutored by Mictec and Mictlan, the rulers of the underworld. She is the actual spy to learn the powers of the next generation so that Mictec and Mictlan can overpower them and rule all 3 realms once more. Xolotl feels a sense of duty to Mictec and Mictlan but also has slight feelings towards Nanahuatzin and is starting to think against Mictec and Mictlan, though she hasn't made up her mind fully yet.
Mazatl is the youngest of the dragons currently in the next generation. Her abilities are currently unknown. She is from a relatively small unknown clan that was just barely able to pay the fee for her to be raised and be among the throne war. She is still quite childish and often hangs around Oxomoco while she ventures with Huitzil and Ehecatl.
Tlaltecuhtli is one of the few surviving members of the old guard. Once a general in the military, he is now a shell of his former self, he usually keeps to himself going on trips often, whether as the messenger or the hunter. Though when around the young ones he becomes the goofy uncle type. He was not allowed into the previous thrown war due to his "hideous complexion" but showed his skills on the field and became one of the most trusted warriors by the previous monarchs. He also helps build the nursery buildings and any other structures needed as he has a great proficiency for stone and earth.
The final Coatl I own as part of my Pantheon. Mictec is the current Queen of the Underworld, alongside her lover Mictlan (still need to get). She is more mischievous then her partner and is the one to dirty her hands, especially as their power wanes with the departure Tezca and others. She, as well as Mictlan, were part of the previous throne war, but lost and decided to overthrow the previous leader of the underworld to stake their claim of power.
I may turn this into a 'guild' where you can pledge one of your dragons (Coatls probably) to one of the hatchlings during the Throne War. Would work like a voting system, but I'm still unsure. I will be adding more dragons to the Pantheon but unsure if I will post about them. I have scry ideas of the big ones I know I am missing (Tlaloc, Quetzal, and Mictlan) and are the only ones that I have a specific idea for. But alas, those are ideas for another day. This is my first attempt at writing the lore behind my Pantheon and I may end up rewriting it, who knows. Also their offspring doesn't really effect the lore at all, I'm using it to get funds for lair space.

If you have any questions or anything I will try to respond as fast as possible, I should be decently active today.
