@Axyzel hello! could you please ping me if you hatch a primal? (of any breed or gender!)
i really adore this subspecies, and i already have a skydancer from here, but i'd like to collect a primal baby, too! [emoji=heart size=1]

Not a new nest BUT - I currently have 28 Regional/Shadeborn variant dragons on the AH, in my for sale tab! None have special eyes, but they need homes before I can breed more for the chance of it!

A new variant to the subspecies has been added - the Tangled Thorn variant! The information for this subspecies has been added to the original post.
Breeders are needed to produce multiple variants! There are no breeders for any of the Tangled Thorn variant's tertiary ranges, most of the Regional variant's breeds, the Artificial variant as a whole, and one of the Corpsebearer variant's ranges. (There are no official breeders for the Corpsebearer variant, but a lot of valid Corpsebearer dragons on the auction house, so technically both ranges need a breeder.)
There are no badges yet for breeders of the variants, but if there are more breeders and interest in it, I will make a badge for each variant as they get a breeder, similar to the existing signature badge.

@Axyzel I have some breeding projects underway to get pairs with correct eye color to produce some regional variants. One pair will be Wildclaws, the other I'm thinking of making some other regional variants or maybe one of them will be a Bogsneak, but I haven't quite decided yet.
My Wildclaw pair won't be compatible with Nightlore and Murkvine's offspring, but they will be genetically compatible with the rest of my pairs, everyone else is genetically far enough removed.
I like the Keel idea as well! I'm going to go through the AH and see if I can find any candidates for Tangled Thorn variants as soon as I make room in my lair for new dragons! I'll let you know if I'm successful at all.
Would you mind adding me to the list of Breeders? Right now I only have Murkvine and Nightlore, who produce Shadeborn and Imperials.
I had another idea. Your color ranges for some of the tertiaries between variants do not overlap and there are different gene requirements. What if there was a category for dragons descended from Shadowspawn who do not quite fit the exact requirements? Like offspring of a Purple range Tangled Thorn and a blue range whose tertiary color does not fit into either approved range, or offspring of two variants with the wrong tertiary gene? They could be required to have two registered Shadowspawn parents, and correct primary and secondary color/genes. Maybe lore-wise they could be half Shadowsludge and half dragon?
Anyway, that was just a thought. Totally not something you have to consider at all. [emoji=guardian happy size=1]

Please do look for them! I'd be very interested in getting my hands on my own Tangled Thorn pair, actually. I might take out the purple range, simply because it's not the right shade for the thorns in the tangled woods...
Also! I do like the idea, however I think my original idea was to have the species canonically (i.e. you could if you don't care for lore) be unable to breed with dragons, due to not reproducing the same way most animals do. Since new hatchlings would be created from the parent's goops combined and imbued with more magic, and not eggs, different formations (i.e. ones tainted with fauna or flora) would have different goop-makeup and as a result, only be able to breed with those that share that makeup.
The reason the ranges are as they are is because it needs a specific shade, rather than hue (light/bright colours rather than the dark colours between them).

One of the ranges of the Tangled Thorn variant has been removed, hopefully before anyone tried to get them! The range removed was the Wisteria-Purple range, as it is too far in the purple to properly show as the bright blue flora of the Tangled Woods.
