It took me a minute to figure out what her genes were by looking at her - I love the way the midnight and mulberry go together, and how subtle her crackle is against the shimmer of her scales. Her apparel is amazing on her too - my absolute favorite part is the Will o’ the Wisp, not just for the way it perfectly matches her eyes, but also for the way it works with her iridescent; something about the little dots of cyan almost makes it look like the flames are reflected in her scales. I also love how you’ve brought in little touches of gold with the rose thorn apparel and the beads of the silks. That adds a lovely bit of contrast to her dark colors, and the lavender roses go perfectly with her colors too. Her lore was also a fun read; I’m intrigued by her differences from the usual Lightning dragon and curious to see if she’ll find a place to fit in. I love how his cyan python and morph give the impression of flowing water, especially when it’s paired with pieces of watery apparel. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually like the Fathomsearch Spirit Jug, but it really works on him! It almost seems like an extension of his own genes, as does the Fathomsearch Halo. I also like how you’ve brought together the purples of his flatfin apparel with the sky blue silks; the fade on the silks from the bright blue of his genes to the purple of his fins gives him a really gorgeous, cohesive look. I can definitely buy him being a siren of some kind, I know I find him quite enchanting! Her lore was really interesting to read through, I’m always curious about the different interpretations people have for capsule and hers definitely didn’t disappoint. I especially enjoyed thinking about the balance between her powerful healing capabilities and her fragility. Her appearance is lovely too - her outfit is a little simpler than the first two I looked at, but it doesn’t really need to be any more complicated than it is. The Starlight Guise is a gorgeous piece of apparel, and it’s well-accented by the pieces of sylvan jewelry and the pearly earrings she has too. I especially love how well the flowers on the guise match Vita’s own colors so well. I was immediately intrigued by his lore, and it fits his appearance so well - I didn’t actually notice he was a plague dragon until I read his story. Now that I have read it I love his outfit even more, with the way his red eyes peek through the leaves of his Tree Warden’s Garb. I also like how the gold chains on the garb go with the accents of his algae butterfly. It’s really lovely how all of the different shades of green in his outfit come together, especially with the overlay of the cobwebs on the witch’s cloak and cobwebs. The way his accent looks on him quickly caught my eye, though the effect is really wonderful and subtle - I love how the little twigs of the accent look like they’re growing out of his bark-like chocolate ripple, and the sprouts have just the right contrast against his wings. The silks are also a nice touch, making his bright mantis runes fit in better with his darker colors and really drawing out the color of his rare Nature eyes. Mixing the softer apparel like silks, scarves, and flowers with the armor makes me really curious about his character, like he’s some kind of warrior-scholar.[/font]

Clay is such a gorgeous color, and I adore the look of it paired with the deep red of his garnet glimmer. His simple apparel really works for him too - there’s no way to go wrong with brown, red, and gold as a color scheme. I love the steampunk tail bauble and copper bracelets even more after reading his bio - it’s so cute when dragons wear things to show their appreciation for their mates. Side note that his brother Bookkeeper is adorable, though it’d probably be a little repetitive to talk about him too. [center][url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=46636564] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/466366/46636564_350.png[/img] [/url][/center] [font=constantia]Pyre is [i]such[/i] a cool-looking dragon. Her colors are absolutely dazzling, I had to stop and stare for a solid minute! It’s really amazing how well her colors blend together - the darkest parts of teal pinstripe mirroring the noxtide, with the brightest parts of the noxtide and the saffron firefly blending into the shimmering gold of her accent. The nebula starsilks are the icing on the cake really, adding even more of the purples from noxtide and golds from the accent. Even her uncommon arcane eyes fit in perfectly, that darker shade just right to match the violet. She’s really unlike any other dragon I’ve seen before, so I love her even more for that! Ice opal really does make it look like she’s been frozen solid, especially when coupled with the Winter Wind and Glitterfreeze Halo. And all that without even reading her lore - once I did, it made her appearance even more chilling. It’s really amazing how well her looks mirror her story, it makes the story that much more intense! I can see she’s a first generation dragon (which is especially cool considering that she’s a wildclaw) - I always find that first gens can be especially inspiring when it comes to making unusual color combinations work. Dirt python looks amazing with soil peacock - the light, swirly parts of python match the accents in peacock, each of the browns blending together with just enough contrast to still stand out. Her wolf cape blends perfectly with those lovely browns too, as do the dried flowers. What kind of Light member would I be if I passed up Hyperion? I’m always a sucker for gold and white, but I do have to say I’m honestly shocked to be liking how a satin tunic looks! He looks relaxed and graceful draped in silks like he is, and especially tranquil with the peace dove too. Reading his story of how he met his husband was wonderful too, it’s such a vivid indication of both of their personalities!

The signature winds of the Cloudsong carry an intoxicating blend of floral scents on the air, and he knows immediately that he came to the perfect place to gather inspiration, if the famed flowers of Florabrisa are already making themselves known. He knows it’s only polite to make himself known to the clan before he goes poking around the flowerbeds, though a few inquiries to the first dragons he passes inform him that’s just where he’ll need to go if he’d like to meet their leader. Strolling through the array of thick blooms in search of him, he can’t resist dipping his head to sniff at a soft pink rose, the scent of it sweeter than he’d expect, lacking the dustiness he usually associates with that flower. “Lovely, aren’t they,” [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=266940&tab=dragon&did=26930334]someone sighs[/url], and Sadzhik startles, though he covers it with a graceful flutter of his wings. A smaller-than-average tundra has appeared next to him, though judging by the dirt he’s shaking from his white fur it’s more likely that he simply emerged from under the bushes. “I’m so sorry, did I startle you?” [center][url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=26930334] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/269304/26930334_350.png[/img] [/url][/center] [font=constantia]“Not at all,” Sadzhik laughs, casting an assessing eye over him. Despite the initial surprise he can’t help but feel calm in his presence, the soft whites and greens of his fur blending perfectly with the gardens spread out behind him. “I think you may be just the man I’m looking for.” After he introduces himself and explains his interest in the flowers - and clarifies that he definitely [i]won’t[/i] be picking any without permission - the soft-spoken tundra quickly opens up, showing him around to a number of his most-prized flowerbeds. Sadzhik notices that most of the ones he’s shown are pink, and smiles to himself - it’s easy to see how much Tarragon loves the color from the many pink blooms he’s adorned himself with. After a little while someone runs up, explaining that Tarragon is needed to help settle some dispute or other - the names of course mean nothing to Sadzhik, but Tarragon sighs and says he’ll have to go. Sadzhik assures him he’s quite comfortable perusing the flowers on his own, and continues his wandering as Tarragon and the other dragon rush away. Perhaps he’s a [i]little[/i] biased for finding the sweet citrus scent suddenly drifting on the air enchanting, but Sadzhik still pauses, turning his head this way and that to try to discover where it’s coming from. His own signature scent aside, perhaps he can find some inspiration for a different use of the sweet-sharp smell. A flash of orange catches his eye, and he follows. A sunny-yellow tail flicks past a row of bushes, and Sadzhik calls, “Excuse me?” [center][url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=31762525] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/317626/31762525_350.png[/img] [/url][/center] [font=constantia]Goggled eyes tinted green peek around the leaves, and a [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=266940&tab=dragon&did=31762525]spring-green skydancer[/url] follows, that rich citrus scent coming along with him. It suits him quite well, his orange tunic and the flowers adorning his wings making cheerful pops of bright color against the mellower greens of his fur and feathers. “Yes?” “Hello, I’m Sadzhik. I’m visiting to enjoy the lovely flowers here, and couldn’t help but notice a delightful scent of orange…?” “Oh! That’s me, I’m Bergamot,” the other skydancer says, the bells on his scarf jingling merrily. “Bergamot, hmm? It’s a pleasure to meet you. Those don’t look like orange flowers, are you wearing some kind of perfume?” There do seem to be subtle, intriguing traces of orange swirling over his feathers like smoke, but that hardly explains the scent either. “Nope, it’s from orange juice,” Bergamot says proudly. “It’s my favorite.” Sadzhik laughs despite himself. Bergamot must drink a considerable amount for it to permeate the air like one of his own perfumes. Still, bergamot… that’s certainly a direction he could go in. Sadzhik lets the other skydancer go on his way - apparently he has a message to deliver. Dusk is starting to fall, so it’s high time he makes his own way home as well. He takes the long way out through the gardens, glancing back and taking a deep breath to savor the last of the sweet floral scent. And then he sneezes hard, an altogether different smell seeping into his nostrils. There’s definitely something still floral to it, but underneath there’s a strong scent of decay. He sneezes again. Sadzhik looks up to find [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=266940&tab=dragon&did=53823246]another tundra[/url], though this one practically disappears into the thicker bushes outside of the gardens, his fur a mix of rich mossy green and muted yellow. His wings are draped in twining vines with huge blossoms that scatter clouds of golden pollen each time he moves - probably the source of his sneezes. “Quite alright, thank you so much for your concern…?” Sadzhik trails off, leaving an opening for the tundra to introduce himself. “Tildr. I’m Tildr.” He squints at Sadzhik. “I heard there was someone visiting to make perfumes, that isn’t you is it?” “Heard of me already? My, word does travel quickly,” Sadzhik laughs. Really the smell isn’t too bad now that he’s had a chance to get accustomed to it; it isn’t terribly uncommon for a more complex perfume to have a base note of decay to give it more dimension. A little strong, maybe, but not too offensive, and it does seem to fit this tundra, adorned in dry branches and flowers and masked with what he prays isn’t a [i]real[/i] skull. Mirroring his thoughts, Tildr winces apologetically. “Sorry about the smell… do the flowers help, at least?” “They do help,” Sadzhik assures him. “Hmm, though perhaps a straight floral isn’t quite what you need… some sandalwood or cedar as well, maybe…” He shakes himself out of his thoughts, not wanting to be rude. “I think you may have given me some ideas, Tildr, thank you. I might have something else for you to try when I return!” Since night has well and truly fallen now, Sadzhik takes his leave, soaring into the sky in a wash of his own citrus and honey scent, mind already churning with possibilities to try when he’s back in his workshop. Florabrisa certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to inspiration!
