(don't worry, you're not bugging me :p Yes, you can do something like this, I don't really own the idea though I think I'm one of, if not the first one to do something like this  (mine and my lore is based off of a nuclear disaster, but one that arose from good intentions, which is what the animatic I'm making will go more into depth about. the history of the Zone is not as straightforward as the dragons in these episodes have made it seem c; )
Silence followed...
Then a head popped out over a rock. It was an ermine looking creature, with the teeth of an anglerfish and the eyes of a gecko. Quite creepy.
It paused, looking at the dragons, then decided they weren't of interest and returned to scratching out of sight.
Whew, that could've been bad had it been something else.
At least, that's what it seemed, as a somewhat-startled growl started behind Fissure and Volare.

Seeing the smile, the Pearlcatcher twitched, then gave a smile of his own. Something was definitely a bit off about him, but it didn't seem like he meant any outright harm. Now that the two were in a light environment once more, one could see that many parts of the mechanical dragon's body were speckled with rust.
Perhaps that had something to do with it. The air in the Zone could damage even the hardiest of wiring.
The male hummed upon hearing Septaria's response.
"A satisfactory statement to my ears! You are quite welcome, citizen. It is the Paladin's duty to aid those in need."
Presumably, he means himself. The guy seems pretty dedicated.
"I am Danse. I protect the Zone's denizens from the many dangers that lurk here. You don't seem familiar. Are you new here?"

(if youre interisted, let me know and ill ping you.
Fissure and Volare slowly backed away from the Creature. Neither wanted to die from a suit breach, making sure they did not show any emotion, sudden movement, or anything else that might cause the thing to attack them. Then the growl came and Volare turned to face the new creature. It was better if they could see both. Fissure turned for a moment, but turned back to face the tiny rodent creature.

The ermine-like creature remained scratching at the rocks, apparently attempting to dig a hole. Despite its frightening appearance, it seemed rather docile and uninterested in Fissure. Perhaps it had nothing to be afraid of?
That was not the case for Volare. As she turned to face the newcomer, she was met with a sandy colored Gaoler with markings that made its face look like a skull.

It blended in extremely well with the rocks below it. It also had long claws that left score marks in the stone, along with a tail that looked a bit like a scorpion's. It twitched, rattling slightly. The sound was similar to the sound made by the duo's pursuer earlier.
Identity exposed, the giant Gaoler dropped into a defensive crouch, teeth bared in an angry snarl.

Fissure watched as the critter came up to him. It was indeed docile, possibly domesticated.
Voltaire sensed the Gaoler's fear. "We mean you no harm." She said, very calm. "Please do not breach our suits. We are. Not in a position where we want a fight." She raised each of her talons, covered in a stiff, harmless rubber glove. Unless this dragon craved death, pain, and fighting, they might be alright.
"Is this yours?" Fissure asked with no threat in his voice. He held up the creature to the gaoler.

"I am new, yes," Septaria smiled wider at the pearlcatcher's attempt at a smile, "I heard a couple of my friends mention this place and I knew I had to see it for myself. My name is Septaria."
