My ultimate fave combo at the moment if probably Tiger/Breakup/Opal! With the right colours, the secondary colours in opal blend perfectly in the mane with the secondary colours of breakup. Tiger is a nice and plain primary gene that helps the bright colours in breakup/opal stand out without looking bland. My (finally) finished Driftwood shows this off really well. Ghost is a very vibrant tertiary gene and it works best on a plain background to help it stand out. The wild colours in the mane, in the right colours, match the ghost to a T and help to create gaolers looking ready for their punk band debut. Hibiki has this gene combo and I think he looks amazing! Phantom and spirit, as partner genes, were quite literally made for each other and it's easy to tell with how pretty they both are. Runes has a similar, sort of spooky vibe which meshes well with the phantom without getting lost like it can do with other genes. I gave this gene combo to Mitzi, who I love a lot. For me the choice of gene greatly depends on the color, cus they may look very different resp. special. I also always test on females, cus I like their looks more than the males. So f. e. I loved the use of Wasp especially on the color Tarnish and created [b]Brynja [/b](who has a tarnish-wasp partner also): [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=51551694] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/515517/51551694_350.png[/img] [/url] Next to mention would be Tiger used with the bases color Saffron to create fluffy big cats (inspired by a Gaoler I saw in the first forum thread about them). Not just because they're "matching" genes, but because I like spoopy themed things. Also it looks rad (and makes me feel rich). I also love blossom, since it gives the dragon a nice accent (in this case, transforms this girl from pastel to pastel goth!) Can't wait for her to have babies >:D
