I'm a sucker for the fiery classics. Crackle gives off this heat-cracked earth filled with lava look. Speckle/Freckle makes things look nice and ashy, or something that's burnt. Shimmer also adds a bit of that heat-shimmer effect or the sheen of obsidian with the right colors.

Not too many Arcane dergs in here. Probably because Arcane has some broad themes. Wasp is great to make alien-looking dragons. Alloy, Constellation and Starmap look like space. Facet/Crystal resemble the magic crystals from Crystalspine Reaches. Wasp for fairy wings.

Circuit, Metallic/Alloy, Bee/Wasp, and Crystal/Facet.
Common colors are Orca/Silverish colors, copper/brown, electric blue, white/black.
